Herein, we report coordination driven 1D arrays of an electron-donor guest (fluorene, carbazole, dibenzofuran, and dibenzothiophene) and -phen chelator as an acceptor in a Zn-based porous coordination polymer, {[Zn(-phen)(ndc)]·DMF} (PCP-1).
