This study investigated the sexual dimorphism in right ventricle (RV) remodeling in right heart failure susceptible Fischer CDF rats using the pulmonary artery banding (PAB) model. Echocardiography and hemodynamic measurements were performed in adult male and female Fischer CDF rats at 1- or 2-weeks post-PAB. RV systolic pressure and RV hypertrophy were significantly elevated in PAB rats compared to sham control at 1- and 2-weeks post-PAB; however, no differences were observed between male and female rats.

Kinesin superfamily proteins (KIFs) are a diverse group of motor proteins that play essential roles in cellular processes such as mitosis, intracellular transport, and signal transduction, all of which are crucial for tumorigenesis. This review focuses on the multifaceted role of KIFs in glioma, examining their clinical relevance, contribution to tumor progression, and potential as therapeutic targets.

Their endothelial cell (EC) functions, and their role in RV physiology and pathophysiology of right heart failure (RHF) remains poorly defined. This study investigated EC characteristics of rat cardiac Sca-1 cells, assessed spatial distribution and studied changes in Sca1 cells during RV remodelling in monocrotaline (MCT) model of pulmonary hypertension and RV remodeling.

Histone acetylation tends to increase gene expression more than methylation does. In the central nervous system (CNS), histone acetylation is essential for controlling the expression of genes linked to cognition and learning.

Skin cancer stands as a challenging global health concern, necessitating innovative approaches to cure deficiencies within traditional therapeutic modalities. While conventional drug delivery methods through injection or oral administration have long prevailed, the emergence of topical drug administration presents a compelling alternative. The skin, aside from offering a swift and painless procedure, serves as a reservoir, maintaining drug efficacy over extended durations.

Methods: We conducted a convergent mixed-method study among 91 pregnant women diagnosed with gestational diabetes at Dhulikhel Hospital, Nepal. Participants received glucometers and blood pressure monitors, along with training and instructions to measure and record their blood pressure and glucose levels at home once a week.
Introduction: Cancer is the primary cause of death globally, and despite the significant advancements in treatment and survival rates, it is still stigmatized in many parts of the world. However, there is limited public health research on cancer stigma among the general female population in Nepal. Therefore, this study aims to determine the prevalence of cancer stigma and its associated factors in this group.

A comprehensive stability and speciation study was conducted in various biological media, mapping the therapeutic effects of TTFA-Platin. A control molecule, TMK-Platin, was synthesized to further validate the structural-stability relationship, which displayed poor activatable features in biological systems.

The mechanism by which AMD may protect against DR is unclear. We sought to assess the association between AMD and DR when controlling for glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) type II.

We examined the association of GWG rate with infant birth weight and cesarean delivery in a prospective cohort of 191 pregnant women in Nepal, using data collected from August 2018 to August 2019 at a peri-urban hospital in Dhulikhel. Participants included women with singleton, full-term live births, with GWG rate calculated from weight gain between the second and late pregnancy stages, divided by the weeks in between.

The present study aims to understand changes in the Hemoglobin (Hb) structure in the presence of a triazine based covalent organic framework (COF) through spectroscopic characterization. Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) due to their unique properties have been utilized in diverse fields including bio-applications. Utilization of COFs for conjugate formation with proteins will lead to the integration of biology and framework materials that can help in the development of bioconjugates for advanced bio-based applications such as diagnostics, therapeutics, and bioengineering.

Recently, neuroinflammation has been identified as a key pathogenic mechanism underlying AD, while inflammation has emerged as a possible target for the management and prevention of AD. Several prior studies have demonstrated that medications modulating neuroinflammation might lessen AD symptoms, mostly by controlling neuroinflammatory signaling pathways such as the NF-κB, MAPK, NLRP3, etc, and their respective signaling cascade.

The exact number of directly perceived auditory stimuli is unknown, studies suggest it may range from 3 to 5. This number differs among individuals, and potentially may indirectly indicate the ability to store and process the complex information, related to the memory load, which is combined with human cognitive processes.
