During the study of microbial diversity of forest soil in the Republic of Korea, a yellow pigment-producing, Gram-stain-negative, rod-shaped, motile bacterium was isolated and designated as strain 1W2. This strain grew at temperature of 10-37 °C, at pH of 5.0-9.

Group A rotavirus (RVA) is a major cause of severe gastroenteritis in infants and young children globally, despite the availability of live-attenuated vaccines. Challenges such as limited efficacy in low-income regions, safety concerns for immunocompromised individuals, and cold-chain dependency necessitate alternative vaccine strategies. Subunit vaccines, which use specific viral proteins to elicit immunity, provide a safer and more adaptable approach.

Prospective study of the functional and radiological outcome of subtrochanteric femur fractures treated by long proximal femoral nailing in lateral decubitus position.

Background: Subtrochanteric fractures are subject to a variety of deforming forces that pose challenges to achieving an optimal reduction. This study aims to assess and highlight the advantages of treating these fractures with a long proximal femoral nail while in the lateral decubitus position.

Method: This prospective study was carried out on 35 patients in our institute, managed with long proximal femoral nailing in lateral decubitus position.

Comparison of mechanical and thermal therapy in upper gastrointestinal bleeding: an analysis of efficacy outcomes.

Background: Nonvariceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding (NVUGIB) is a complication of dual antiplatelet therapy (DAPT) and direct oral anticoagulant therapy (DOAC). There is a lack of data comparing mechanical therapy (clips) with thermal therapy in this population.

Lutembacher syndrome presenting as heart failure in an old female from rural Nepal: a case report.

Introduction And Significance: Lutembacher syndrome (LS), combining atrial septal defect (ASD) and mitral stenosis (MS), is rare, particularly in rural areas. This case presents a 55-year-old Nepalese woman with LS symptoms; however, financial constraints hindered surgical treatment, highlighting LS challenges and the need for early intervention in resource-limited settings.
