Background: Reconstruction of large superficial defects of the upper lip is challenging, as it requires the restoration of both function and morphology. To achieve optimal results, facial features and landmarks should be preserved and similar skin should be used. Moreover, in male patients, upper lip pilosity should be restored.

It offers patients both convenience and reduced costs. With the increased use of bariatric surgery, Extended L-shaped Lipo-brachioplasty is now frequently requested as a follow-up procedure.

The aim of this study was to present the FFS pre-operative planning of the authors' male-to-female transsexual patients using photo-editing software, computer-aided design (CAD), modeling, and three-dimensional (3D) printing.
Material And Methods: Twenty-five patients underwent FFS between November 2015 and May 2018.
Background: Surgical approaches in neck dissection: comparing functional, oncologic and aesthetic aspects of transverse cervicotomy to Paul André's approach.
Methods: This single-center retrospective study compares a new transverse incision for cervicotomy to the classical approach described by Paul André in neck dissections. The evaluation criteria were: number of lymph nodes analyzed, operative time, complications, patient satisfaction and aesthetic aspects of the scar.

Background And Aim: Persistent postsurgical pain (PPP) has been reported by patients following various surgeries. Body contouring procedures are being performed more frequently, but no data are available regarding the effects of these procedures. Long-term disability occurring after performing "functional" procedures on healthy subjects is a particular concern.

Means And Methods: In this retrospective, single center based study, patients who underwent implant-based breast augmentation surgery (excluding reconstructive surgery) in the past 3 years with a minimum follow-up of 1 month were questioned by telephone. Patients who had early postoperative complications, or no professional activity, were excluded.
Backgrounds: Lipoabdominoplasty is a way to improve morphological outcomes by treating the areas not accessible to resection during classical abdominoplasty, especially hips. However, patients can present a lateral and posterior fat extension, not accessible to an anterior liposuction. This situation is managed by a first step with liposuction in the prone position.

Analysis of hybrid BPDOs obtained using common restriction sites to exchange large DNA fragments between LB400 bphA and B-356 bphA showed that the C-terminal portion of LB400 alpha subunit can withstand extensive structural modifications, and that these modifications can change the catalytic properties of the enzyme. On the other hand, exchanging the C-terminal portion of B-356 BPDO alpha subunit with that of LB400 alpha subunit generated inactive chimeras.

The screen allowed the isolation of four candidate cDNA clones. Clones pHC4, pHC21, and pHC40 were partially sequenced but no homologies to known proteins were found.

The protein was produced in a soluble form at high levels and was active, as demonstrated by intermolecular cleavage of the polymerase capsid protein (Pol-CP) substrate. The VPg-Pro was purified by metal-chelation and ion-exchange chromatographies.

Sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and immunoblot analyses of E. coli proteins showed that the NIa protein underwent endoproteolysis and released a 22-kDa polypeptide.
