Arthroscopic Augmentation of Subscapularis Revision Repair Using a Bioinductive Collagen Implant.

The overall failure rate of rotator cuff healing after primary repair is high and is even greater in revision cases. This worrisome outcome has spurred the development and use of biological materials to help promote healing potentials. This Technical Note describes an all-arthroscopic technique for the application of a bioinductive collagen patch to augment subscapularis full-thickness tear repair.

The prevalence of chronic pain in children and adolescents: a systematic review update and meta-analysis.

Chronic pain, defined as persistent or recurring pain or pain lasting longer than 3 months, is a common childhood problem. The objective of this study was to conduct an updated systematic review and meta-analysis on the prevalence of chronic pain (ie, overall, headache, abdominal pain, back pain, musculoskeletal pain, multisite/general pain, and other) in children and adolescents. EMBASE, PubMed, CINAHL, and PsycINFO were searched for publications between January 1, 2009, and June 30, 2023.

Transfemoral Osseointegration-a self-case study and physiotherapy assessment.

A patient (the first author) with a preexisting right side transfemoral amputation (20 years before) had osseointegration surgery. She was assigned a physiotherapist (the second author) and began a rehabilitation program. We provide a unique insight into the first 18 months of rehabilitation after insertion of an osseointegration bone anchor from a physiotherapist and patient perspective with the intention of informing practitioners, patients, and potential patients about the experience and identifying potential areas for improvements in the rehabilitation protocol.

Since then, the literature on paediatric chronic pain has grown substantially.
