In Paroxysmal nocturnal haemoglobinuria (PNH), pregnancy is associated with increased maternal and foetal complications to such an extent that the condition has been considered relatively contra-indicated in PNH. Major obstetric haemorrhage remains a significant cause of maternal morbidity and mortality.
