Evaluation of a pilot Tree of Life group for children with epilepsy and their families.

Background: Tree of Life Groups (a narrative therapy technique) have been used successfully in a number of paediatric populations. The group intervention aims to give children a space to express their difficulties whilst also holding in mind their strengths and hopes, thereby creating a preferred identity incorporating their physical health condition. No studies were identified which described this approach in a paediatric epilepsy population or involving siblings, families and the multidisciplinary team.

Designing mixed-metal electrocatalyst systems for photoelectrochemical dinitrogen activation.

Efficient artificial photosynthesis systems are currently realized as catalyst- and surface-functionalized photovoltaic tandem-and triple-junction devices, enabling photoelectrochemical (PEC) water oxidation while simultaneously recycling CO and generating hydrogen as a solar fuel for storable renewable energy. Although PEC systems also bear advantages for the activation of dinitrogen - such as a high system tunability with respect to the electrocatalyst integration and a directly controllable electron flux to the anchoring catalyst through the adjustability of incoming irradiation - only a few PEC devices have been developed and investigated for this purpose. We have developed a series of photoelectrodeposition procedures to deposit mixed-metal electrocatalyst nanostructures directly on the semiconductor surface for light-assisted dinitrogen activation.

Exploring the therapeutic opportunities, challenges and psychological mechanisms of integrating dogs into psychological therapies with adults.

The therapeutic benefits of Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT) are well-documented and AAT research often involves dogs. Despite growing research into the therapeutic value of therapy dogs' visitation within health and psychiatric contexts, research specifically into the integration of dogs into psychological therapies is limited. Current Dog Assisted Psychological Therapy (DAPT) research is novel and limited.
