By opto-stimulating different populations of descending spinal projecting neurons (SPNs) in anesthetized mice, we show that stimulation of excitatory SPNs in the rostral ventromedial medulla (rVMM) resulted in a simultaneous increase in somatomotor and sympathetic activities.

Materials And Methods: A retrospective analysis of survival, recurrence, and complications was performed in 82 patients with HCC undergoing preoperative PVE and surgical treatment with curative intention from June 2006 to December 2014.
Results: Rate of major adverse events after PVE was 11% with no mortality.
