Diplopia: A Rare Manifestation of Neuroborreliosis.

Early disseminated Lyme disease typically presents with cardiac, rheumatologic, or neurologic symptoms. Though uncommon, can invade the central nervous system and cause neuroborreliosis. In these patients, facial palsy, headache, and stiffness of the neck are the most common presenting symptoms.

Polyradiculopathy and Gastroparesis due to Cytomegalovirus Infection in AIDS: A Case Report and Review of Literature.

Background: Cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection has been well described as an opportunistic infection of patients with human immunodeficiency virus (HIV). To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case report of a patient with AIDS and lumbosacral polyradiculopathy, associated with gastroparesis resulting from CMV infection.

Case Report: A 46-year-old Hispanic woman with a history of HIV for 10 years was admitted to our hospital for nausea, vomiting, urinary retention, and generalized weakness.

Immediate loading of dental implants in the completely edentulous maxilla: a clinical report.

Purpose: The purpose of this article was to determine whether clinical success can be achieved with immediate loading in the completely edentulous maxilla with endosseous screw-type implants.

Materials And Methods: The study sample consisted of 34 patients who were edentulous or about to lose all remaining maxillary teeth. The patients underwent an extensive presurgical and prosthetic workup to determine whether they qualified for the study.

The effect of smoking on achieving osseointegration of surface-modified implants: a clinical report.

Purpose: The present study evaluated the effect of smoking on achieving initial osseointegration when surface-modified dental implants were used.

Materials And Methods: During an 18-month period in a private practice setting 1,183 implants were placed in 461 patients. The group of smokers consisted of patients who smoked a half pack or more of cigarettes per day.
