Article Synopsis
  • * The study aimed to determine the role of the KLK6 protease in this disease by creating double knockout mice that lacked both Spink5 and Klk6 genes.
  • * Findings showed that while removing Klk6 significantly reduced skin inflammation markers like Tslp, it did not improve skin shedding or prevent the lethal effects of NS, suggesting KLK6 may be a target for treating skin inflammatory conditions.
