First Case of Abdominal and Tunica Vaginalis Multicystic Benign Mesothelioma: Management and Review of Literature.

Multicystic benign mesothelioma is a rare tumor that affects the serosa. Most cases present with peritoneal lesions exclusively. Some identified risk factors are chronic abdominal inflammation, woman of childbearing age, and asbestos exposure.

Multicenter randomized trial comparing diagnostic sensitivity and cellular abundance with aggressive versus standard biliary brushing for bile duct stenosis without mass syndrome.

BACKGROUND : The diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma in patients with a biliary stricture without mass syndrome can be obtained by biliary brushing with a sensitivity of ~50 %. We performed a multicenter randomized crossover trial comparing the aggressive Infinity brush with the standard RX Cytology Brush. The aims were to compare sensitivity for cholangiocarcinoma diagnosis and cellularity obtained.

Annular lipoatrophy of the ankle: Four new pediatric cases and a review of the literature.

Annular lipoatrophy of the ankle is a rare and unique acquired lipoatrophic panniculitis that mainly affects children. There is no consensus on treatment, and the long-term course is not well known. We present four new pediatric cases that contribute to the understanding of this rare disease.

Management of mucocele of the appendix with peritoneal dissemination in pregnant women: a case report and literature review.

Background: This is the first case report of a patient with a twin pregnancy who developed appendiceal mucocele (AM) with peritoneal dissemination in the context of endometriosis and ovarian hyperstimulation. A review of the literature on AM during pregnancy, with a focus on management, is provided as well.

From abdominal pain to a diagnosis of primary sclerosing encapsulating peritonitis and its management, a case report.

Background: Sclerosing Encapsulating peritonitis (SEP) is a rare chronic fibro-inflammatory disease of the peritoneum. The aetiology can be either primary or secondary. The knowledge around this topic is poor.

Double-clip traction could be superior to the pocket-creation method with cylindrical cap for colonic ESD: a randomized study in an ex vivo model.

Introduction: In Western countries, debates between ESD vs piece-meal EMR as the best treatment for large colorectal adenomas persist regarding the difficulty of ESD the colon, and the safety and relatively good results of piece-meal endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR). Pocket-creation method (PCM) and double-clip countertraction (DCT) are two strategies recently published to facilitate ESD in this challenging situation.

Method: This is a randomized animal study to compare PCM and DCT strategies for colonic ESD on ex vivo models (bovine colon) performed by 3 operators novice in ESD.

Endoscopic resection of Barrett's adenocarcinoma: Intramucosal and low-risk tumours are not associated with lymph node metastases.

Background: Superficial oesophageal adenocarcinoma can be resected endoscopically, but data to define a curative endoscopic resection are scarce.

Objective: Our study aimed to assess the risk of lymph node metastasis depending on the depth of invasion and histological features of oesophageal adenocarcinoma.

Methods: We retrospectively included all patients undergoing an endoscopic resection for T1 oesophageal adenocarcinoma among seven expert centres in France in 2004-2016.

Long-term survival after surgery of pancreatic primary squamous cell carcinoma: A case report and literature review.

Pancreatic primary squamous cell carcinoma is rarer and no optimal treatment has been validated according to the tumor stage. The surgical resection was the only curative option. The radiotherapy or chemotherapy was performed for the other cases.

Endoscopic mucosal resection with anchoring of the snare tip: multicenter retrospective evaluation of effectiveness and safety.

 Endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) with snare is the recommended technique to resect non-invasive colorectal neoplastic lesions between 10 and 30 mm in diameter. The objective of EMR is to resect completely the neoplastic tissue en bloc and preferably with free margins (R0), avoiding recurrences. Anchoring the tip of the snare in the submucosa is a technical trick that allows snare sliding to be reduced and larger pieces to be caught.

High proficiency of colonic endoscopic submucosal dissection in Europe thanks to countertraction strategy using a double clip and rubber band.

 ESD in the colon is more challenging technically than in other locations. Here, we report the first comparative case series of colon ESD using a systematic countertraction strategy using two clips and a rubber band.  Retrospective comparative study of classic versus countertraction colon ESD performed in colon ESD cases collected prospectively at Lyon Edouard Herriot Hospital and Limoges University Hospital from January 2016 until December 2017.

What is the cost of endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD)? A medico-economic study.

Introduction: Endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) is the gold-standard treatment for superficial lesions of the digestive tract. No medico-economic study has been conducted in Europe.

Material And Methods: A monocentric study was conducted including all patients undergoing ESD between January 2015 and December 2017.
