Introduction: Head and neck malignancies are associated with poor prognosis and poor quality-of-life if detected late. Narrow-Band-Imaging(NBI) is one of the important tools, which helps in detecting these lesions earlier. By using narrow-wavelength(400-550 nm) it enhances the mucosal and submucosal vascularity against the pale mucosal background which helps us detecting benign, pre-malignant and malignant lesions.

CO Laser and Coblation are widely used in Head and neck Surgeries. This study compares the tissue changes produced by these two techniques. 50 Patients who underwent complete excision of benign and malignant pathologies in the Oral Cavity, Oropharynx, and Larynx with Coblation and CO Laser were included in the study.

This evaluation aims to address concerns related to dental and ENT issues both before and after liver transplantation. These concerns include the risk of sepsis, the impact of post-transplantation immunosuppression, the detection of existing malignancies, including oral potentially malignant disorders (OPMDs), and identifying any contraindications to the transplantation procedure.

Materials And Methods: This retrospective study includes 209 patients who underwent type 1 tympanoplasty, utilizing both endoscopic and microscopic techniques, between January 2019 and December 2022 at a tertiary care institute in India. The study aims to compare hearing outcomes, graft uptake, hospital stay, postoperative pain, and cosmesis between the two groups.
A 37-year-old man presented to the ED with symptoms of productive cough, self-reported fever, and shortness of breath for the past 15 days. He was placed on noninvasive mechanical ventilation for respiratory distress. IV piperacillin-tazobactam and inhaled bronchodilators were promptly administered, and he was subsequently transferred to the respiratory ICU for further care.

Background: Although the utility of laser fiber in microscopic stapes surgery has been documented in the past, their role can be highly emphasized in endoscopic stapes surgery, especially in difficult anatomical situations.
Methods: This is a retrospective analysis of cases where a total of 46 patients (22 in conventional stapedotomy and 24 in CO laser-assisted stapedotomy) were included in the study. The clinical parameters were assessed both in the preoperative and postoperative periods in the respective groups and later compared 12 weeks after stapedotomy.
Objective: Computed Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) are commonly employed in pre-operative evaluation for cochlear implant surgery. However, with a decrease in the age of implantation, even minor radiation exposure can cause detrimental effects on children over their lifetime. The current study compares different cochlear measurements from CT and MRI scans and evaluates the feasibility of using only an MRI scan for radiological evaluation before cochlear implantation.

Methods: Retrospective study done on 1054 infants in a tertiary care centre in Eastern India from 2020 to 2021 and approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee. A two-step protocol is used for screening.
Background: In crooked noses, the standard septoplasty is a challenge because of the complex deviation of the septum, where straightening of the cartilage in situ is impossible. Hence, it is required to remove the partial/total septum and later is replaced back after being straightened; the procedure is called partial/total extracorporeal septoplasty. In the present study, we shared our experience of partial extracorporeal septoplasty in patients with crooked noses.

Few authors have reported auditory outcomes even without nerves following CI. This study outlines the audiological outcomes of a patient in early childhood with cochlear aplasia and cochlear nerve deficiency who underwent CI.

Spontaneous or post-traumatic CSF (cerebrospinal-fluid) rhinorrhea occurs when there is a skull-base defect. In our study, we tried endoscopic approach, exclusively as surgical modality. To study feasibility of trans-nasal endoscopic approach for repair of skull-base defects and success rates at each anatomical subsite, with complications.

Use of a forcing function, a principle of human factors engineering, has not been reported earlier as a method of increasing checklist use. The authors conducted this study to determine the feasibility and effects of introducing a forcing function on OR surgical safety checklist implementation and adherence.

To compare efficacy of temporalis fascia myringoplasty using platelet-rich plasma(PRP) {MP-PRP} and conventional emporalis fascia myringoplasty (MP-C) in treatment of moderate to large central tympanic-membrane(TM) perforation. Randomized-Control-Trial. We randomly assigned eighty-patients with COMmucosal-type with medium to large central TM-perforation and conductive hearing loss planned for primary myringoplasty to receive either MP-PRP orMP-C.

We adopt a fixed two-phase protocol comprising an initial 'intensive phase' (two-drug regimen) followed by an 'eradication phase' (monotherapy). We present five patients treated between May 2013 and May 2020 in our institution who were subjected to the mentioned protocol.
