Population-based estimates of the differences -in metastatic pattern, incidence, and prognosis of breast cancer patients by histologic grade at breast cancer diagnosis are lacking. Patients with breast cancer and metastases at the time of diagnosis were identified using the Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) database. Multivariable logistic and Cox regression were performed to determine the effect of histologic grade on the presence of metastases at diagnosis and all-cause mortality.

Cancer immunotherapy is emerging as a novel promising therapy option for cancer patients. Despite the critical role of CD80 in the regulation of immune responses, the expression and biological functions of CD80 in breast cancer remain unknown. In this study, we aimed to investigate the role of CD80 both clinically and molecularly in breast cancer at a transcriptome level.

Background: Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a highly aggressive cancer with poor prognosis. The lack of effective targeted therapies for TNBC remains a profound clinical challenge. Fusion transcripts play critical roles in carcinogenesis and serve as valuable diagnostic and therapeutic targets in cancer.

Immune checkpoints are intensively investigated as targets in cancer immunotherapy. T-cell immunoreceptor with immunoglobulin (Ig) and ITIM domains (TIGIT) are recently emerging as a novel promising target in cancer immunotherapy. Herein, we systematically investigated TIGIT-related transcriptome profile and relevant clinical information derived from a total of 2994 breast cancer patients recorded in The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Molecular Taxonomy of Breast Cancer International Consortium (METABRIC).
