The feasibility of using microwaves to quickly stimulate automatic color change in 3D-printed food containing curcumin or anthocyanins was studied. Firstly, with a dual-nozzle 3D printer, stacked structures included mashed potatoes (MPs, upper part, containing anthocyanins) and lemon juice-starch gel (LJSG, lower part) were 3D-printed and post-treated using a microwave. The results indicated that the viscosity and gel strength (indicated by the elastic modulus (G') and complex modulus (G*)) of LJSG were improved with the increase in starch concentration, while water mobility was reduced.

A broad-spectrum monoclonal antibody (mAb, named 14C6) was prepared and conjugated with carboxylic-acid-functionalized magnetic nanoparticles using the active ester method to obtain IMBs for sample purification. The extraction solvent was optimized based on the extraction efficiency.

Methods: The genistein-chromium (III) complex was synthesized by chelating chromium with genistein in ethanol and its structure was determined by LC-MS, atomic absorption spectroscopy, UV-vis spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy, elemental and thermodynamic analysis. The anti-diabetic activity of the complex was assessed in db/db mice and C57 mice by daily oral gavage for 4 weeks.
The aroma profile of Semnostachya menglaensis Tsui (S. menglaensis) was identified by headspace solid-phase microextraction (HS-SPME) coupled with gas chromatography-olfactometry (GC-O) and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). A total of 29 odor-active compounds, which have aroma intensities ranging from 0.

In this study, the variations in the chemical composition and antioxidant activity of AOs extracted from adlay samples obtained from four main producing areas of China were first investigated. Results revealed that the AO of the adlay samples varied from 7.

All new estrone derivatives were investigated for their in vitro cytotoxic efficacies against a panel of three human prostate cancer cell lines (PC-3, LNCaP, and DU145). The derivatives 6, 7, 10, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, 24 and 26 showed important cytotoxic actions against individual carcinoma cell line collections.

The title compound, digoxigenone, C(23)H(30)O(5)·H(2)O, was biotransformed from digoxigenin. In the crystal, inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds contribute to the formation of a three-dimensional supra-molecular structure. The title compound has three fused six-membered rings (A,B,C) and two non-fused five-membered rings (D,E).
