Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) are pivotal controllers of gene expression through epigenetic mechanisms, Methylation, a prominent area of study in epigenetics, significantly impacts cellular processes. Various RNA base methylations, including m6A, m5C, m1A, and 2'-O-methylation, profoundly influence lncRNA folding, interactions, and stability, thereby shaping their functionality. LncRNAs and methylation significantly contribute to tumor development, especially in lung cancer.

However, the function and potential mechanisms of CALML3-AS1 in the progression of NSCLC need to be further explored.

However, the functions and mechanisms by which circRNAs exert protective functions in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remain largely elusive.
Methods: The prognostic role of circGUCY1A2 was explored in lung adenocarcinoma specimens.
To explore the roles of GMDS-AS1 in the epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT) of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). Cell functions were detected by flow cytometry, cell counting kit-8, wound healing assays and transwell assays. RNA immunoprecipitation and pull-down assays were applied for determining the interaction among GMDA-AS1, TAF15 and .

Background: Day surgery has been widely carried out in medical developed countries such as Europe and the United States with high efficiency, safety and economy. The development of thoracic day surgery started late, and currently only a few top three hospitals carry thoracic day surgery. In recent years, with the continuous in-depth application of the concept of accelerated rehabilitation surgery (ERAS) in the field of surgery, thoracic surgery ERAS has also entered clinical practice with remarkable results.

Background: There are currently no treatments targeting the immune microenvironment (TME) as an extension of immunotherapy. Our research aims to provide guidance for the development of immune-related mRNA vaccines and the identification of immune subtypes for vaccine treatment in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD).
Methods: HTRNA-Seq and single cell RNA-seq data were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) and Gene-Expression Omnibus (GEO, GSE87340, GSE140343, GSE148071) databases.
Gefitinib has been widely applied for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD). However, the long-term application of gefitinib usually leads to acquired drug resistance in tumour patients, resulting in clinical treatment failure. Small nucleolar host gene 17 (SNHG17) has been shown to play a regulatory role in LUAD progression.

This study was designed to identify novel predictive and prognostic tsRNA biomarkers.

This study investigated the regulation of GRP78 in tumour-associated macrophage polarization in lung cancer. First, our results showed that GRP78 was upregulated in macrophages during M2 polarization and in a conditioned medium derived from lung cancer cells. Next, we found that knocking down GRP78 in macrophages promoted M1 differentiation and suppressed M2 polarization via the Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription signalling.

However, the research on tsRNA in oral submucous fibrosis (OSF) is still scarce.
Methods: We sequenced the OSF and validated it by PCR.
tRNAs are a group of conventional noncoding RNAs (ncRNAs) with critical roles in the biological synthesis of proteins. Recently, tRNA-derived small RNAs (tsRNAs) were found to have important biological functions in the development of human diseases including carcinomas, rather than just being considered pure degradation material. tsRNAs not only are abnormally expressed in the cancer tissues and serum of cancer patients, but also have been suggested to regulate various vital cancer hallmarks.

X-box binding protein 1 (XBP1), which is an important transcription factor involved in regulating the unfolded protein response (UPR) during endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, might act as a potent oncogenic protein in the processes of tumorigenesis, tumor proliferation and metastasis in various cancers. However, the clinical significance and pathological role of XBP1 in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) remains unknown.

Increased ferroptosis and immune activation can synergistically reinforce each other in killing cancer cells. NCOA4 depletion can eliminate iron accumulation and thus weaken ferroptosis.

An increasing number of long non-coding RNAs (LncRNAs) were reported to be associated with the occurrence and progression of LADC. Thus, it is necessary and reasonable to find new prognostic biomarkers for LADC among LncRNAs.
