Objective: To investigate the effect of compound Salvia injection (CSI) on blood coagulatory function in patients with traumatic cerebral infarction (TCI).
Methods: Sixty-four patients with TCI were randomly divided into two groups, 32 in each group. The treated group were treated with CSI plus conventional treatment of western medicine, and the control group treated with conventional treatment alone.

Objective: To investigate the therapeutic effect of 125IUdR on gliomas.
Methods: By means of growth-curve, clonogenic formation experiment and MTT assay, the inhibitive effect of 125IUdR on the proliferation of C6 cells was studied in vitro. Wistar rats with intracerebral C6 gliomas were used to verify the therapeutic efficacy of 125IUdR in vivo.

Objective: To construct tyrosine hydroxylase(TH) gene expressing mesencephalic astrocytes for the experiment of gene therapy for Parkinson's disease (PD).
Methods: The recombinant retroviral vector pN2ATH was constructed and transferred into PA317 pakaging cells by electroporation method. Resistant clones were obtained with G418 selective culture, and the virus supernatants were harvested.

Objective: To investigate the early-stage changes of cerebral microcirculation after craniocerebral missile wound (CMW) in cats.
Methods: Twelve mongrel cats of either sex were used for measuring the caliber (D), velocity (V) and blood flow (Q) of the pial microvessels and observing the vital signs 10 min before CMW and from 5 min to 5 h after CMW. The pathological changes of the brain tissue were also examined.

Objective: To aim at demonstrating whether cationic liposome-mediated antisense c-myb oligonucleotide(LipoAON) can inhibit the growth of C6 glioma by intravenous injection.
Methods: Intracerebral C6 glioma cells were implanted into the left caudal nucleus of forty-eight male Wistar rats. There were four groups: LipoAON(n = 12), antisense c-myb oligonucleotide (AON; n = 12), cationic liposome (Lipo; n = 12), and normal saline (NS; n = 12).
