Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) combined with flexible vacuum-assisted ureteral access sheath (FV-UAS) versus extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for the management of 1-2 cm lower pole renal calculi (LPC) in obese patients.

Patients And Methods: This prospective, randomized study included 149 obese patients with 1-2 cm LPC. Patients were allocated into two groups: 76 patients underwent RIRS with FV-UAS, and 73 patients received ESWL.

In this paper, a methane detection sensor based on direct absorption spectroscopy and the self-heating effect of lasers is proposed, which abandons the traditional method of relying on a thermoelectric cooler (TEC) to ensure stable gas concentration detection. The sensor can achieve stable concentration measurement in the temperature range of -10 to 40°C without the need for a TEC, which greatly simplifies the structure of the sensor and reduces the cost. The results of gas concentration calibration experiments show that the sensor has a good linear correlation ( =0.

Objective: To study the safety and feasibility of transurethral bladder lesion mucosal en bloc resection with 2 μm laser for cystitis glandularis.

Methods: From July 2018 to July 2019, 58 patients with cystitis glandularis received surgical treatment were selected. All patients in this study were randomly divided into experimental group (transurethral 2 μm laser bladder lesion mucosal en bloc resection) and control group (traditional transurethral resection of bladder lesion mucosal).
