Background: Previous studies have proven that 308-nm light-emitting diode(308-nm LED)and 308-nm excimer lamp(308-nm MEL) are effective in treating vitiligo, but there is a lack of comparison of their efficacy for facial lesions.
Objective: To evaluate and contrast the treatment success rates of 308-nm LED versus 308-nm excimer lamp in managing facial lesions among patients suffering from stable non-segmental vitiligo.
Methods: The enrolled 119 patients with 145 lesions were randomly assigned to receive 308-nm LED or 308-nm MEL for two months.

Background: Delayed lead perforation is a rare complication of cardiac implantable electronic device (CIED). Clinical presentations range from completely asymptomatic to pericardial tamponade. Surgical lead extraction is recommended and transvenous lead extraction (TLE) with surgical backup is an alternative method.

Background: In previous studies, the 308-nm light-emitting diode (LED) has been proven safe and effective for treating vitiligo. However, direct comparisons between the 308-nm LED and 308-nm excimer lamp (308-nm MEL) for the treatment of vitiligo are lacking.
Objective: To compare the efficacy of the 308-nm LED and 308-nm MEL for treating nonsegmental stable vitiligo.
Background: Psoriasis is a chronic, inflammatory skin disease. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are an abundant class of non-coding RNA molecules. Recent studies have shown that multiple miRNAs are abnormally expressed in patients with psoriasis.

In our prior investigations, we demonstrated that UVB-induced DNA breakage from keratinocytes can activate the cGAS-STING pathway in macrophages. The cGAS-STING signaling pathway serves as the principal effector for detecting and responding to abnormal double-stranded DNA in the cytoplasm.

It is involved in hyperlipidemia as well as other diseases, such as cancer and skin inflammation. However, the detailed mechanism for PCSK9 on ultraviolet B (UVB)-induced skin lesions was not clear.

To identify DNA methylation and transcription biomarkers in the psoriatic epidermis. Gene transcription and DNA methylation datasets of psoriatic epidermal tissue were obtained from the Gene Expression Omnibus. Machine learning algorithm analysis and weighted gene coexpression network analysis were carried out to screen hub genes.

The ion exchange membrane of the Nafion series widely used in vanadium flow batteries (VFBs) is characterized by its high cost and high vanadium permeability, which limit the further commercialization of VFBs. Herein, a thin composite membrane enabled by a low-cost microporous polyethylene (PE) substrate and perfluorosulfonic acid (PFSA) resin is proposed to reduce the cost of the membrane. Meanwhile, the rigid PE substrate limits the swelling of the composite membrane, which effectively reduces the penetration of vanadium ions and improves the ion selectivity of the composite membrane.

However, the expression and associated regulatory mechanisms of PVT1 in cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (cSCC) remain unclear. Our results revealed that PVT1 was highly upregulated in cSCC tissues and cSCC cell lines.

Mast cells (MCs) can serve as a bridge between innate and adaptive immunity and are involved in the regulation of the inflammatory state and immune homeostasis in diseases. MCs constitutively express interleukin-33 receptor T1/ST2 (IL-33R).

The identification of specific biomarkers in AK are still unclear. Long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), as transcripts of more than 200 nucleotides, significantly involving in multiple biologic processes, especially in the development of tumors.

Methods: In this study, the Chinese herbs of BHT were extracted by first boiling in water, then were filtered, concentrated, and freeze-dried. The chemical profile of BHT extract was determined by liquid chromatography mass spectrometry (LC-MS).
Background: Keloids are a fibroproliferative disease characterized by unsatisfactory therapeutic effects and a high recurrence rate.
Objective: This study aimed to investigate keloid-related circulating metabolic signatures.
Methods: Untargeted metabolomic analysis was performed to compare the metabolic features of 15 keloid patients with those of paired healthy volunteers in the discovery cohort.

Background: A light emitting diode (LED), with a wavelength of 308 nm, has been utilized in the dermatologic treatment of vitiligo.
Objectives: We investigated the efficacy and safety of 308-nm LED for use in the treatment of vitiligo.
Methods: We conducted a retrospective study of 70 stable-stage vitiligo patients (with a total of 99 lesions) who received 308-nm LED treatment at the Institute of Dermatology, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences and Peking Union Medical College from June 2018 to June 2020.
Cutaneous basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is a common subtype of malignant skin tumor with low invasiveness. Early diagnosis and treatment of BCC and the identification of specific biomarkers are particularly urgent. Long non‑coding RNAs (lncRNAs) have been shown to be associated with the development of various tumors, including BCC.
