Background: Previous investigations into the causal relationship between infections and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) have yielded controversial results. This study delves into the bidirectional causal relationships between various infectious agents and SLE, employing two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) from an immunological perspective.
Methods: Utilizing genome-wide association study (GWAS) data for 46 antibody-mediated immune responses (AMIRs) to 13 pathogens and three distinct SLE datasets, we employed Bayesian Weighted MR (BWMR) and inverse variance weighted (IVW) methods to ascertain causal links, supplemented by meta-analysis to resolve inconsistencies.
Background: Prostate cancer (PCa), the most prevalent malignant neoplasm in males, involves complex biological mechanisms and risk factors, many of which remain unidentified. By employing a novel two-sample Mendelian randomization (MR) approach, this study aims to elucidate the causal relationships between the circulating metabolome and PCa risk, utilizing comprehensive data on genetically determined plasma metabolites and metabolite ratios.
Methods: For the MR analysis, we utilized data from the GWAS Catalog database to analyze 1,091 plasma metabolites and 309 ratios in relation to PCa outcomes within two independent GWAS datasets.
l-threonine dehydrogenase (Tdh) is an enzyme that links threonine metabolism to epigenetic modifications and mitochondria biogenesis. In vitro studies show that it is critical for the regulation of trimethylation of histone H3 lysine 4 (H3K4me3) levels and cell fate determination of mouse embryonic stem cells (mESCs). However, whether Tdh regulates a developmental process in vivo and, if it does, whether it also primarily regulates H3K4me3 levels in this process as it does in mESCs, remains elusive.

Traditional point cloud registration methods face challenges in noise, low overlap, uneven density, and large data scale, which limits the further application of point cloud registration in actual scenes. With the above deficiency, point cloud registration methods based on deep learning technology gradually emerged.

This close interconnection makes it difficult to specify different functions of AAR and UPR. Here, we generated a zebrafish model in which loss of threonyl-tRNA synthetase (Tars) induces angiogenesis dependent on Tars aminoacylation activity.
