Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Astragali Radix-Angelicae Sinensis Radix is an important traditional Chinese medicine used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. Our previous studies have shown that Astragali Radix-Angelicae Sinensis Radix can inhibit vascular intimal hyperplasia and improve the blood vessel wall's ECM deposition, among which six main active components can be absorbed into the blood, suggesting that these components may be the main pharmacodynamic substances of Astragali Radix-Angelicae Sinensis Radix against vascular intimal hyperplasia.

The application of cast-in-situ phosphogypsum as the wall material of building structures can greatly reduce the environmental pollution caused by phosphogypsum. Through the uniaxial compression test of cast-in-situ phosphogypsum specimens, the compressive strength of cast-in-situ phosphogypsum is determined, the constitutive relationship of the material is drawn up, and the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio of the material are determined. The results show that when the strain of the specimen is close to the peak strain, the cast-in-situ phosphogypsum has brittle properties and rapidly fails, where the failure state is mainly splitting failure.

Background: Astragalus and Panax notoginseng are significant traditional Chinese medicines for treating ischemic stroke, with astragaloside IV (AST IV) and Panax notoginseng saponins (PNS) being the major effective compounds, respectively. These compounds can also be used in combination. We have previously shown that AST IV and PNS have an antagonistic effect on cerebral ischemia/reperfusion (I/R) injury, and the combination of these two drugs can elevate this effect; unfortunately, AST IV and PNS cannot easily enter the brain tissues through the blood brain barrier (BBB).
