Objective: This study aimed to study the diagnostic efficacy of positron emission tomography (PET)/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and clinical metabolic parameters in predicting the histological classification of lung adenocarcinoma (ADC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC).

Methods: PET/MRI, CT and clinical metabolic data of 80 patients with lung ADC or SCC were retrospectively collected. According to the pathological results from surgery or fiberscopy, the patients were diagnosed with lung ADC (47 cases) or SCC (33 cases).

Methods: PET/MRI radiomics and clinical data were retrospectively collected from 61 patients with lung cancer. According to the pathological results of surgery or fiberscope, patients were divided into two groups, lung adenocarcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma group, which were set as positive for adenocarcinoma (40 cases) and negative for squamous cell carcinoma (21 cases).

According to the statistics of 160 typical fire and explosion accidents in oil storage areas at home and abroad nearly 50 years, 122 of them occurred the secondary accidents in the emergency responses. Based on 122 accident cases, 21 causal factors leading to secondary accidents are summarized. In order to quantify the influencing degree of these causal factors on the accident consequences, a multiple linear regression model was established between them.

Despite the numerous band selection (BS) algorithms reported in the field, most if not all have exhibited maximal accuracy when more spectral bands are utilized for classification. This apparently disagrees with the theoretical model of the 'curse of dimensionality' phenomenon, without apparent explanations. If it were true, then BS would be deemed as an academic piece of research without real benefits to practical applications.
