View Article and Find Full Text PDFHerein, a CuSe(CuSe) yolk-shell structure (CC) was synthesized when room temperature was 25 degree Celsius using CuO as a soft template, and the g-CN/CuSe(CuSe) heterojunction (CC-G) was formed by coupling appropriate amounts of g-CN in the selenization process to provide a novel, green, economical, and efficient photo-Fenton catalytic material. Photo-Fenton degradation experiments proved that in the presence of hydrogen peroxide (HO), a small amount of g-CN hybridization on Cu-based Fenton catalysts significantly improved methylene blue (MB) degradation. The suitable amount of g-CN hybridization was selected according to the degradation efficiency.

Recent studies indicate that complex biosignals including immunoregulation, cell recruitment, and osteogenic differentiation provided by the extracellular matrix (ECM) are conducive to promoting osseointegration. In the present study, a chondroitin sulfate (CS)/polydopamine-modified PET graft was developed to regulate the local immune microenvironment, guide stem cell behavior, and promote new bone formation.

Objective: To investigate the correlation between the level of glucose in serum and the development of acute pancreatitis (AP).
Methods: Data of 153 AP cases were collected, in which there were 130 patients with mild AP (MAP), 4 with moderate-severe AP (MSAP) and 19 with severe AP (SAP). At the time of admission, following indexes of patients were recorded: glucose, APACHE II score, TNF-α and C-reaction protein (CRP).
Rationale And Objectives: This study aimed to preliminarily investigate the feasibility of intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) theory in the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant thyroid nodules.
Materials And Methods: Forty-five patients with 56 confirmed thyroid nodules underwent preoperative routine magnetic resonance imaging and IVIM diffusion-weighted imaging. The histopathologic diagnosis was confirmed by surgery.
In bone remodeling, osteogenesis is closely coupled to angiogenesis. Bone tissue engineering using multifunctional bioactive materials is a promising technique which has the ability to simultaneously stimulate osteogenesis and angiogenesis for repair of bone defects. Methods: The changes of PI3K, p-PI3K, Akt and p-Akt expression in skin wound were detected by immunohistochemistry, Western blotting and real-time PCR.
Results: Immunohistochemistry showed the expression of PI3K and p-Akt were observed in mononuclear and fibroblast after skin wound, and reached peak in reconstruction.
Wound age estimation is a classic but still modern theme in forensic practice. More experiments on different types of wound are needed to further improve its accuracy. In this study, mouse skin excisional wounds were created to simulate dermal defective injury.

A composite silanes-V-Zr passive film was overlayed on hot-dip galvanized steel. Attenuated total reflection Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR), X-ray photoelectron spectrometer (XPS) and radio frequency glow discharge optical emission spectrometry (rf-GD-OES) were used to characterize the molecular structure of the silanes-V-Zr passive film. The mechanism of film formation was discussed: The results show that the silane molecules are crosslinked as the main film former and inorganic inhibitor is even distributed in the film.

Surface hydrophilicity, morphology, and recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 adsorption/release behavior of the SMC/PHBHHx scaffolds were analyzed. Results of scanning electron microscopy indicated that the SMC was uniformly dispersed in the PHBHHx scaffolds, and SMC modification scaffolds have an interconnected porous architecture with pore sizes ranging from 200 to 400 μm.

The aim of this study was to investigate the interrelation between splenic siderotic nodules, hypersplenism and liver function in patients with liver cirrhosis. The splenic enhanced susceptibility-weighted angiography (ESWAN) and conventional magnetic resonance images of 33 patients with liver cirrhosis were retrospectively studied and the ESWAN images were graded. Methods: By randomized single-blind clinical trial, one hundred and eighteen cases of simple obesity were divided into an acupuncture group (76 cases) and a placebo-acupuncture control group (42 cases), additionally, health control group (30 cases) was included. In acupuncture group and placebo-acupuncture control group, all the patients received a restricted diet; Zhongwan (CV 12) and Zhongji (CV 3) etc.
Objective: To evaluate the pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of liposomal brucine (LB) for dermal application.
Methods: Pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution were studied by in vivo animal testing. High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to detect the concentration of brucine in rats' skin, plasma and various tissues.
Objective: To observe the biocompatibility of new biomaterials porous calcium phosphate (CPC) and ectopic bone formation of CPC with bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs).
Methods: The BMSCs were cultured from Beagle dog and combined with the porous CPC with the best concentration after transfect green fluorescent protein (GFP). The adhesion and growth of BMSCs on CPC were observed under inversion, fluorescence and scanning electron microscopy.

Objective: The aim of this article was to investigate the structural basis of ocular motility and visual abnormalities in humans with congenital fibrosis of the extraocular muscles (CFEOM).
Methods: 17 volunteers from 2 CFEOM pedigrees Clinical ophthalmic and motility examed and 18 normal control subjects were correlated with thin-sectioned magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) across the orbit and the brain-stem level.
Results: Subjects with CFEOM had severe bilateral blepharoptosis, limited supraduction, and variable ophthalmoplegia.
