Diagnostic Value of Plain and Contrast Radiography, and Multi-slice Computed Tomography in Diagnosing Intestinal Obstruction in Different Locations.

Early intestinal obstruction is easily misdiagnosed. Many physicians consider terminal bouton if computed tomography (CT) scan is done. However, different examinations provide diverse information and significance.

Rockall score in predicting outcomes of elderly patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding.

Aim: To validate the clinical Rockall score in predicting outcomes (rebleeding, surgery and mortality) in elderly patients with acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding (AUGIB).

Methods: A retrospective analysis was undertaken in 341 patients admitted to the emergency room and Intensive Care Unit of Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University with non-variceal upper gastrointestinal bleeding. The Rockall scores were calculated, and the association between clinical Rockall scores and patient outcomes (rebleeding, surgery and mortality) was assessed.

Objective: To investigate the distribution of hepatitis delta virus (HDV) marker among hepatitis B virus (HBV) infected patients and to reveal its clinical significance.

Method: To collect the clinical data and sera samples of HBV infected patients and to detect HDAg, Anti-HDV as well as HBV infection markers by means of enzyme-linked immunosorbnent assay. These data combined with clinical diagnostic results and biochemical index were then analyzed.
