Optic Neuritis After COVID-19 Vaccination: A Case Series and a Review of Literature.

Background: The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic broke out in March 2020, causing tremendous damage to public health and more than 6 million deaths. After authorization for the emergency use of COVID-19 vaccines, various adverse events have been reported, including optic neuritis. COVID-19 vaccination was implemented in Taiwan in March 2021.

Sorafenib induced tumor lysis syndrome in an advanced hepatocellular carcinoma patient.

A 55-year-old male patient with hepatitis B-related liver cirrhosis was found to have advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. His AFP was initially 9828 microg/L and rapidly dropped to 5597 microg/L in ten days after oral sorafenib treatment. However, he developed acute renal failure, hyperkalemia, and hyperuricemia 30 d after receiving the sorafenib treatment.

Primary myxosarcoma of the right inferior pulmonary vein presenting clinically as benign left atrial myxoma with a concurrent right lower lung tumor.

Primary sarcomas of the pulmonary vein are extremely rare. Although myxomas are the most common intracavitary tumor of the left atrium, some findings should alert the clinician to the probability of malignancy. A 28-year-old woman developed hemoptysis, night fever, generalized malaise, anorexia and weight loss for 2 months, with progressive dyspnea for 2 weeks.

Imaging findings in fibroepithelial polyps causing ureteropelvic junction obstruction: report of one case.

Fibroepithelial polyps causing ureteropelvic junction obstruction are rarely reported in the pediatric age group. We report a 9-year-old boy who had ureteropelvic junction obstruction that proved to be owing to benign fibroepithelial polyps. Intravenous pyelography showed hydronephrosis with filling defects at the left ureteropelvic junction.
