Article Synopsis
  • Soft tissue leiomyosarcoma (STLMS) is a type of cancer in adults, and scientists are studying genes that might help understand when this cancer comes back after treatment.
  • They found two important genes, AMH and PLA2G10, which can show how likely patients are to have relapses, with PLA2G10 causing faster growth of cancer cells.
  • Overall, PLA2G10 seems to be a special gene linked to how STLMS develops and grows, and stopping it could help manage the cancer better.
