This study compared the antioxidant activity of extracts from () Levillis leaves. The concentrations of flavonoids and polyphenols were measured in extracts of leaves. The antioxidant activities were examined by ABTS and DPPH radical scavenging activity and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP).

To investigate the inter-annual trends of the long-distance transport of air pollutants from China to South Korea, multi-year trend analysis was carried out for Aerosol Optical Depth (AOD, as a proxy of particulate matter), and CO (a water-insoluble air pollutant) and SO (a partially water-soluble air pollutant), over three regions in Northeast Asia. Air pollutants are typically long-range transported from the highly polluted parts of China to South Korea through the Yellow Sea.

Methods: Twenty patients with chronic shoulder pain were included in the study. All of the nerve blocks were performed with patients in a supine position.
We have investigated the wound-healing effects of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) in combination with human amniotic membrane (HAM) when grafted into full-thickness skin defects of rabbits. Five defects in each of four groups were respectively treated with HAM loaded with autologous MSCs (group A), HAM loaded with allologous MSCs (group B), HAM with injected autologous MSCs (group C), and HAM with injected allologous MSCs (group D). The size of the wounds was calculated for each group at 7, 12, and 15 days after grafting.

In vivo regulation of the pyrC expression was studied by measuring dihydroorotase activity and beta-galactosidase level in the fur+ and fur- genetic background. The expression of chromosomal dihydroorotase activity and beta-galactosidase activity of pyrC-lacZ fusion plasmid was repressed to about 30% and 17%, respectively in the fur+ strain compared to those in the fur- strain.
