Organelles in neuronal dendrites facilitate local metabolic processes and energy supply, crucial for dendrite development and neurodegenerative diseases. The distinct functions of dendritic organelles have been well studied, however, their crosstalk under physiological and pathological contexts remains elusive. We aimed to establish an model system of contacts between multi-organelles for investigating the modulation of inter-organelle crosstalk in Alzheimer's disease (AD).

While their role in liver tumor management is well established, their potential for treating extrahepatic malignancies is gaining increasing attention. Notably, growing research has highlighted the promising applications of TAE, TACE, and TARE in extrahepatic cancers such as glioblastoma (GBM), soft tissue sarcomas (STSs), prostate cancer (PCa), pancreatic cancer, and renal cell carcinoma (RCC).

By harnessing ultrasound waves in tandem with sonosensitizers, this method produces reactive oxygen species (ROS) that inflict oxidative damage upon tumor cells, subsequently causing their demise. Ferroptosis is a regulatory form of cell death that differs from other forms, characterized by iron accumulation, ROS accumulation, and lipid peroxidation.

Tectoridin is one of the most active metabolites extracted from flowers of and has a variety of beneficial activities, including antioxidative, hypoglycemic, and anti-inflammatory activities. Nevertheless, the functions and potential mechanisms underlying tectoridin in cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury have not been well interpreted; thus, a network analysis strategy was performed to systematically evaluate its pharmacological mechanisms, which were further validated in rats with cerebral ischemia.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective review of patients who underwent DBS at a single institution from September 2018 to February 2023. Surgical planning data were analyzed using a combination of 1.
Background: This study introduces a construction method for a multilayered three-dimensional costal cartilage auricular framework and retrospectively analyzed its clinical effectiveness in auricular reconstruction with an expanded postauricular skin flap.
Methods: We designed multiple techniques for constructing a multilayered three-dimensional costal cartilage auricular framework to enhance stability and aesthetic outcomes. Postoperative follow-up included a comprehensive morphological assessment of the reconstructed ears, as well as evaluations of postoperative complications and patient satisfaction.
Objective: Focused ultrasound (FUS)-mediated blood-brain barrier (BBB) opening is safe and potentially beneficial in patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD) for the removal of amyloid-beta (Aβ) plaques. However, the optimal BBB opening intervals and number of treatment sessions for clinical improvement remain undefined. Therefore, the aim of this study was to evaluate the safety and benefits of repeated and more extensive BBB opening alone.

Previously, the development of a novel stereotactic system allowed for improved patient comfort, reduced size, and carried through a simplified interface for surgeons. The system was designed with a work envelope and trajectory range optimized for deep brain stimulation applications only.

In this study, we investigated acetamide-based DESs for Zn batteries, focusing on a synergistic mixture of two known acetamide (Ace)-based DESs: and . By combining these two DESs in various ratios, we aimed to enhance ionic conductivity and optimize electrochemical performance while addressing corrosion concerns.

Background: Tetrandrine (TET) has multiple pharmacological activities, but its water solubility is poor, which is the main reason for its low bioavailability.
Objectives: The purpose of this study was to prepare TET nanocrystals (TET-NCs) using a grinding method to enhance the dissolution rate and ultimately improve the bioavailability of TET.
Methods: TET-NCs were synthesized via media milling, employing Poloxam 407 (P407) as surface stabilizer and mannitol as a cryoprotectant during freeze-drying.
A multilayer core-shell heterostructure with CoNi-LDH as the core and NiS nanosheets as the shell is deposited on MXene-coated carbon nanofibers by electrospinning and electrochemical deposition. This unique structure not only combines highly conductive and hydrophilic one-dimensional carbon nanofibers but also exposes abundant two-dimensional reactive sites and multiple ion diffusion channels to maximize material utilization, enhance electron transfer kinetics, accelerate Faraday reaction, high capacitance and strong stability. The CNNS@MXCF electrode exhibits outstanding electrochemical characteristics, including a capacity of 1441.

Fisetin, a flavonoid compound, possesses anti-inflammatory characteristics in asthma; yet, its impact on airway remodeling and ASMCs phenotype transition has not been investigated.
Objectives: This research seeked to assess the impact of fisetin on ovalbumin (OVA) induced asthmatic airway remodeling and ASMCs phenotype transition, and clarify the mechanisms through network pharmacology predictions as well as in vivo and in vitro validation.

As an alternative, high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) has been explored for its potential to treat a variety of dermatological conditions because it offers greater flexibility in terms of treatment depth. Since dermatological lesions have a small thickness ranging from 1.
