Objectives: Oral cancer is significantly high in India, and screening is an effective approach to downstage the disease. Educating Community Health Workers (CHWs) on early oral cancer detection is an effective step toward reducing the burden and serves as a first step toward facilitating the transfer of knowledge. Therefore, the purpose of this hands-on education was to equip CHWs with insight on the advanced diagnostics, preventive techniques, and innovations for the early detection of oral cancer.

Rapidly progressive renal failure (RPRF) is not typical of diabetic nephropathy and suggests non-diabetic kidney disease (NDKD). We conducted an analysis of the data of RPRF patients (28 diabetic and 88 non-diabetic patients) with doubled creatinine over 2 weeks to 3 months and/or presented with >4 mg serum creatinine without prior renal disease to ascertain the types of lesions and compare the patients' histopathology. The primary outcome was dependence on dialysis at 1 year.

Over the decades, the global tuberculosis (TB) response has evolved from sanatoria-based treatment to DOTS (Directly Observed Therapy Shortcourse) strategy and the more recent End TB Strategy. The WHO South-East Asia Region, which accounted for 45% of new TB patients and 50% of deaths globally in 2021, is pivotal to the global fight against TB. The high prevalence of oral potentially-malignant disorders exhibits diverse severity and risk of malignant transformation, which mandates a Point-of-Care diagnostic tool. Low patient compliance for biopsies underscores the need for minimally-invasive diagnosis. Background: Rituximab is an anti-CD 20 agent used widely in renal transplant recipients. Its use is associated with various infections; however, its association with tuberculosis (TB) is not well established and has not been studied in post renal transplantation patients.

Methods: This is a single-center, retrospective analysis of 56 renal transplant recipients who received rituximab as a part of desensitization protocol or as rescue therapy for rejections and 287 post-renal transplant patients who did not receive rituximab during the study period from January 2013 to June 2017.

Bacterial vaginosis (BV) is one of the most common vaginal infections that affects hundreds of millions of women of reproductive age, worldwide. Traditional treatment strategies, such as oral and topical antibiotics, have shown efficacy against BV, but frequent recurrence of infection and the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria remain as significant challenges. Alternatively, recent progress in understanding immune, microbiological, and metabolic interactions in the vaginal microbiota has prompted the consideration of administering probiotic organisms to restore and maintain vaginal health within the context of BV prevention and treatment.

Oral spindle cell lipoma is a rare lesion and until now only 26 cases have been reported in English literature. In this article we report a case of oral spindle cell lipoma presented to our institution in July 2011, as an asymptomatic solitary growth of the buccal mucosa in a 58 year old male patient. On histopathological examination the lesion exhibited an admixture of adipocytes and spindle cells with collagen fibres and numerous mast cells.
