Clinically, TNBC is marked by its low survival rate, poor therapeutic outcomes, high aggressiveness, and lack of targeted therapies. Over the past few decades, many clinical trials have been ongoing for targeted therapies in TNBC.

Herein, we reported the design and synthesis of a series of pyrazole-linked triazoles based on the reported structural features of promising drug candidates that target DprE1 receptors through a Structure-based drug design (SBDD) approach (6a-6j and 7a-7j). The synthesized compounds were evaluated for their in-vitro antitubercular activity against virulent strains of Mtb H37Rv.

However occasionally they can become symptomatic and can present with complaints of impotence, ejaculatory pain, difficult voiding, urinary retention and abdominal pain. Hematuria is a rare symptom in such patients and is usually due to infection.

Melanotic neuroectodermal tumor of infancy (MNTI) is a rare melanin-containing mesenchymal tumor of neural crest origin. We present a case of MNTI in a 1-year-old girl. It was managed successfully with conservative excision (enucleation).

With limited mobility, increased reports of intimate partner violence, changes in living patterns of migrants, delays in accessing contraception and safe abortion care, and potential changes to decisions about parenting, there may be an increased need for abortion services in India due to the pandemic. The use of technology for providing abortion information and services has been well documented in global literature.

Mangaluru city and its surrounding areas in southwestern India are endemic to malaria with being the most widespread and prevalent species although also frequently infects. However, no information is available on the level of protective immunity in this population.

In such renal injury, tubular epithelial cells, epithelial cell casts, and dysmorphic red cells may provide clues to etiology. The aim of this study was to compare automated urinalysis findings with manual microscopic analysis in AKI.

BCR-ABL rearrangement is associated with higher leukocyte counts and older age at presentation. Among adults, BCR -ABL - is the commonest recurrent abnormality whereas, IgH rearrangements are rare.

Aim: Aim of this study was to analyse the frequency of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) mutations, ALK and ROS1 rearrangements and their association with age and gender in non-small cell lung cancer reported from a tertiary care center in South India.
Methods: Tumors from patients with non-small cell carcinoma of lung were evaluated for EGFR mutations, ALK and ROS1 rearrangements and their association with age and gender were studied.
Background And Aims: As obtaining adequate tissue on biopsy is critical for the detection of residual and recurrent intestinal metaplasia/dysplasia in Barrett's esophagus (BE) patients undergone Barrett's endoscopic eradication therapy (BET), we decided to compare the adequacy of biopsy specimens using jumbo versus standard biopsy forceps.
Methods: This is a two-center study of patients' post-radiofrequency ablation of dysplastic BE. After BET, jumbo (Boston Scientific©, Radial Jaw 4, opening diameter 2.
The aim of this study was to assess the clinical profile, severity and complications of patients suffering from malaria in Mangaluru, a southwestern coastal city in India. A total of 579 patients, who were treated at the District Wenlock Hospital, Mangaluru, and 168 healthy controls were recruited in this study. The clinical profile, haematological and biochemical parameters, and disease complications were assessed.

Inflammatory cytokines such as IL-1, IL-6, and IL-10 have been documented in malaria induced thrombocytopaenia. This study was aimed to understand the possible relationship between inflammatory cytokines across varying degrees of thrombocytopenia during , and mixed infections.

In this study, we evaluated the possibility of using PDW to predict chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms by comparing platelet indices obtained by automated analyzers in chronic myeloproliferative neoplasms with those in control specimens. We found that PDW greater than 66.

Background: Phase contrast microscopy is the recommended technique for urine sediment examination. Bright field microscopy does not differentiate objects with slight changes in the refractive index and hence phase contrast is a superior alternative.
Methods: In this article, we describe a novel method to improve contrast in bright field microscopy.
Background: Malaria is highly prevalent in many parts of India and the Indian subcontinent. Mangaluru, a city in the southwest coastal region of Karnataka state in India, and surrounding areas are malaria endemic with 10-12 annual parasite index. Despite high endemicity, to-date, very little has been reported on the epidemiology and burden of malaria in this area.

Methods: Blood specimens from patients diagnosed with myeloma were processed to determine complete blood count and levels of albumin, creatinine, and beta-2 microglobulin. We evaluated bone-marrow specimens for plasma-cell percentage by light microscopy and for cytogenetic abnormalities by fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH).
Background: Both QTd and Tp-e/QT ratio have been linked to increased risk for arrhythmia and mortality. But Significance of QTd in STEMI Patients is not documented in all studies and Tp-e/QT ratio is a novel index which is understudied in these patients. Therefore, the present study is aimed to determine the short term, in-hospital prognostic value of QTd and Tp-e/QT ratio in thrombolysed STEMI patients.

Background: Twenty one amide compounds possessing phenoxy/benzyloxy/pyridinyl groups have been synthesized by benzoylation of respective amines in presence of base with moderate to encouraging yields. Upon confirmation of structure, compounds were subjected for p38 kinase inhibitory, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antitubercular activities.
Method: Anti-inflammatory activity was determined using carrageenan induced rat paw edema model while p38 kinase inhibitory activity was studied using ELISA method and serial dilution method was employed to determine MICs.
