This study investigates verbal fluency as an indicator of executive function in middle-aged adults with mild sensorineural hearing loss, comparing them to age-matched controls with normal hearing. In this study, 50 middle-aged participants were recruited, comprising 25 with bilateral unaided mild hearing loss and 25 age-matched controls with normal hearing. Demographic information, including age, gender, and health-related factors, was collected.

Objectives: Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) have a crucial role in assisting individuals with dementia due to the communication and swallowing challenges associated with the disease. As the number of dementia cases rises in India at an increasing rate, investigating the level of dementia knowledge of SLP students can offer insight into the preparedness of the healthcare system to meet this emerging demand.
Method: A cross-sectional survey was conducted on SLP students pursuing their final year undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees from four universities across India.

Here, we used the bulky 1-ethynyladamantane as one of the protecting ligands alongside trifluoracetate to successfully synthesize a chlorine-templated silver nanocluster─Cl@Ag(CH)(COF). Elucidation of its structure by single crystal X-ray diffraction revealed the structure to be a chlorine-centered Ag cage with protection by alkynyl and carboxylic ligands.

When the defects are located more proximally in the leg, the deeper course of the axial vessels makes the dissection more tedious. Detecting AF/AFL may be especially important, but the role of routine ambulatory monitoring in ATTR-CM patients is unclear.
Objective: The objective is therefore to determine prevalence and outcomes of subclinical AF/AFL on routine ambulatory rhythm monitoring.
Advancement in the diagnosis and treatment of transthyretin amyloid cardiomyopathy has made great strides in recent years. Novel therapeutics for transthyretin amyloidosis such as tafamidis, patisiran, and inotersen have shown significant benefits in a not-so-rare disease but come with high listing price tags ranging from a quarter to more than a half million dollars per year. These costs create significant financial barriers for the majority of patients, especially those with existing Medicare insurance plans.
