Introduction: Deep mycoses acquired by penetrating trauma to the skin can have varied and sometimes atypical morphological presentations resulting in diagnostic dilemmas and delay in treatment onset. Histopathology can be a useful tool in not only diagnosing but also differentiating various deep mycoses.
Aims And Objectives: To observe various morphological presentations and histopathological features of deep fungal infections.
Small chemical molecules are attractive agents for improving the plant processes associated with plant growth and stress tolerance. Recent advances in chemical biology and structure-assisted drug discovery approaches have opened up new avenues in plant biology to discover new drug-like molecules to improve plant processes for sustained food production. Several compounds targeting phytohormone biosynthesis or signalling cascades were designed to alter plant physiological mechanisms.

The objective of this study was to compare the efficacy and safety of carbon dioxide laser versus microfractional radiofrequency in treatment of acne scars in skin type 3,4.
Material And Methods: Thirty-two patients of skin types 3-4 with grade 3 and 4 atrophic acne scars, of which 16 were treated with fractional carbon dioxide (CO) laser and 16 were treated with microfractional radiofrequency were retrospectively analyzed.
Background: Androgenetic alopecia (AGA) is the most prevalent cause of hair loss around the world.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of laser stimulation with a 675-nm wavelength for the treatment of AGA in male and female Indian patients.
Methods: A total of 20 Indian healthy patients aged 23-57 years who presented a grade of alopecia stage I to stage V underwent one single pass with a 675-nm laser to the scalp area twice a week for a total of 8 sessions, followed by once a week for 4 sessions and once in 2 weeks for 2 sessions.
Background: Lasers and other energy-based devices are increasingly becoming popular in aesthetic practice. Many centers employ doctors or technicians to perform these procedures where treating doctor and operating doctor may be different. Hence the need for standard operative protocols, to be followed while performing these procedures to avoid mistakes, complications and to get optimum results.

Here, we assessed patients' understanding of PsO and PsA as a systemic disease, its impact on their physical and emotional well-being, and patients' experiences with healthcare professionals for shared treatment decision-making.
Materials And Methods: The Global Psoriatic Disease and Beyond Survey was a cross-sectional, qualitative, online survey conducted on patients with moderate-to-severe PsO with/without concomitant PsA.
Background: Work-related injuries and diseases have a significant impact on workers and their families, society, and the economy. There is a gap in the literature regarding the structures, content, quality, and outcomes of international occupational health systems serving injured and ill workers. This global round table was an attempt to elucidate, evaluate, and identify areas needing improvement.

Materials And Methods: This was a nonrandomized, controlled, pilot, split-face study in 47 patients who were given two brands of Botulinum toxin A for the treatment of lateral canthal lines for 12 weeks. Evaluation of lines was assessed with grades of 0 (none), 1 (mild), 2 (moderate), and 3 (severe) at a maximum smile and rest by using ANTERA 3D camera.
Background: Tobacco use has emerged as a major public health issue with increasing tobacco-related morbidity and mortality. Despite evidence that even brief tobacco counseling by health care professionals is effective in motivating a tobacco user to quit, there was a lack of customized tobacco counseling training module (TCTM) for students of dentistry in their existing curriculum. This study was undertaken to evaluate the effectiveness of a customized TCTM in improving KAASS in tobacco counseling among undergraduate dental students.

Materials And Methods: A group of 30 male 129/Sv mice was equally subdivided into two groups: (1) nondiabetic (ND), in which mice did not undergo systemic alterations and received a standard diet, and (2) diabetic (D), in which mice were provided a high-fat diet from the age of 6 weeks until the conclusion of the study and received two intraperitoneal (IP) injections of streptozotocin (STZ) at a concentration of 100 mg/Kg each. Each mouse underwent extraction of a maxillary first molar, and customized Ti screws (0.
Chronic inflammation and hyperglycemia in diabetic patients increase the risk of implant failure and impaired fracture healing. We previously developed and characterized a titanium (Ti) coating strategy using an imidazolium-based ionic liquid (IonL) with a fully reduced, non-oxidizable High Mobility Group Box 1 (HMGB1) isoform (Ti-IonL-HMGB1) to immunomodulate tissue healing. In this study, we used an open reduction fracture fixation (ORIF) model in non-diabetic (ND) and diabetic (D) rats to further investigate the effectiveness of this Ti-IonL-HMGB1 coating on orthopedic applications.

Objective: The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of green tea-based mouth rinse in comparison with 0.
Background: India lacks organized school oral health programs, resulting in limited access to oral health care among children. The peer role models, or teachers, may help in bridging the gap to enhance knowledge on self-care preventive practices. The aim of the study was to evaluate and compare the effectiveness of dental health education (DHE) offered by qualified dental professional, trained teachers, and peer role models in promoting oral hygiene status and behavior among school-going children in Mysuru, Karnataka.

Hence, vaccination programs are being instituted for the control of rabies in dogs. Though stray dogs have been vaccinated for years under various programs initiated for control of the disease, the effectiveness of these programs can be ascertained only by assessing the immunity of these dogs.

While it is possible to avoid elective osseous surgery in patients with diabetes, it may not be the case in nonelective cases, such as ORIF ankle fractures. A total of 30 male Lewis rats (12-15 weeks old) were distributed into diabetic (D) and nondiabetic (ND) groups.

The injection of botulinum toxin type A is known to help in improving the outcomes of scars by reducing the tension across the wound edges and by promoting better wound healing.
Objective: The aim of this article is to evaluate the efficacy of botulinum toxin injection following scar revision surgeries.
Bacterial soft rot is one of the most devastating diseases and a major constraint encountered during carrot farming. Biological agents are the best eco-friendly alternatives to agrochemicals to manage soft rot disease to ensure environmental sustainability. In this study, about eight isolates of bacterial pathogen causing soft rot in carrots were collected from Karnataka, India.

Cyclosporine (CsA) is a calcineurin inhibitor that acts selectively on T cells. It has been used in dermatology since 1997 for its US Food and Drug Administration indication of psoriasis and off-label for various other inflammatory skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis, alopecia areata, urticaria, lichen planus and many others in pediatric, adults as well as in pregnant women. However, clinicians' preferences for management differ, which may have a bearing on the treatment selection.
