phase engineering of transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) with controlled sulfur vacancies offers a promising strategy for superior-performance lithium-sulfur (Li-S) batteries. Herein, we demonstrate a bifunctional approach by designing a sulfur host material using 1T-MoS/MoO heterostructures grown directly on carbon nanopot-resembling designer structures (CMS). The metallic phase (1T-MoS) with MoO synergistically contributes to exceptional electronic transport, increased interlayer spacing, and more electrochemically active sites across its basal plane.

The pentavalent arsenic compound roxarsone (RSN) is used as a feed additive in poultry for rapid growth, eventually ending up in poultry litter. Poultry litter contains chicken manure, which plays a vital role as an affordable fertilizer by providing rich nutrients to agricultural land. Consequently, the extensive use of poultry droppings serves as a conduit for the spread of toxic forms of arsenic in the soil and surface water.

This study sought to compare gastrointestinal (GI) symptoms, GI inflammation, and stool microbiome composition between children receiving BTF or CF. This prospective cohort study involved 41 gastrostomy-fed children, aged 2-18 years, receiving either BTF ( = 21) or CF ( = 20).

Cl/Br ratio is an important indicator to identify the origin of groundwater salinity in coastal aquifers. Nineteen percent of the groundwater samples with Cl/Br ratio similar to that of Standard Mean Ocean Water (SMOW) are affected by seawater intrusion in the study area.

In the present study, a bacterium resistant to heavy metals was isolated from a metal-contaminated site and we aimed to report the synthesis of FeO nanoparticles via co-precipitation using bacterial exopolysaccharides (EPS) derived from _RMSN6 strains. A three-variable Box-Behnken design was used for determining the optimal conditions of the FeO NPs synthesis process.

The interesting feature associated with DN is that, even though the progression of the disease correlates with oxidative stress, Nrf2, the master regulator of antioxidant defense system involved in counteracting oxidative stress is also upregulated in the diabetic kidneys of both human as well as experimental animals in early stages of DN. Despite the increased expression, the ability of this protein to get translocated into the nucleus is diminished signifying the functional impairment of Nrf2, implying redox imbalance.
