In this paper, the dielectric behaviour of coconut oil within the frequency range 100 kHz to 30 MHz between temperature 30 °C-50 °C has been observed. The measured values of the dielectric constant and dielectric loss show notable variation with frequency and temperature for pure coconut oil. It is noticed that the dielectric constant (՛) and dielectric loss (՛՛) of coconut oil decreases with increasing temperature.

In recent years, high-throughput sequencing (HTS)-based genome analyses have been broadly adopted for the discovery of both characterized and un-characterized viruses from plant samples. In this study, the HTS data of sugarcane pooled sample retrieved from sequence read archive (SRA) were de novo re-assembled using CLC Genomic Workbench.

High-throughput sequencing (HTS) is comprehensive diagnostic platform that permit the precise detection of viral pathogens to resolve the disease epidemiology of the crop, thus providing the phytosanitary status of plants. The current work was designed to comprehend the virome profiling of sugarcane belonging to five varieties collected from the major crop producing states in India.

CeO nanoparticles were prepared using a simple green synthesis process. A thin film of the CeO-CNPs-Ch nanohybrid was formed on indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass plates that endowed a high surface area, excellent stability, and good adsorption for the efficient loading of CEA antibodies.

Root-knot nematodes (RKN) pose a significant threat to a diverse range of host plants, with their obligatory endoparasitic nature leading to substantial agricultural losses. RKN spend much of their lives inside or in contact by secreting plant cell wall-modifying enzymes resulting in the giant cell development for establishing host-parasite relationships.

Wearable-based motion sensing solutions are capable of automatically detecting and tracking individual smoking puffs and/or episodes to aid the users in their journey of smoking cessation. But they are either obtrusive to use, perform with a low accuracy, or have questionable ability of running fully on a low-power device like a smartwatch, all affecting their widespread adoption. We propose 'CigTrak', a novel pipeline for an accurate smoking puff and episode detection using 6-DoF motion sensor on a smartwatch.

Nucleotide sequence analysis of both MYMIV components revealed > 96% identity and close ancestry with MYMIV isolates from legumes in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, dimeric infectious clones of MYMIV were generated in the pCAMBIA1302 vector, and a seed infiltration protocol was established for mungbean, soybean, and .

Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV) infecting loquat was detected using leaf samples collected from Himachal Pradesh (India) through DAC-ELISA followed by RT-PCR assays targeting coat protein (CP), movement protein (MP) and replicase (Rep) regions of ASGV genome. Sequencing of RT-PCR amplicons and sequence analyses revealed that CP, MP and Rep sequences of ASGV loquat Indian isolate of the current study shared a maximum of 98-100% nucleotide sequence identities with the corresponding sequences of available ASGV Indian isolates [LN559078, HE978837, MZ127820, MN912568].

The identification and designing of appropriate and reliable drug molecule for the treatment of COVID-19 patients is the pressing need of the present time. Among different drug targets, the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 is being considered as most effective target.

We applied a bioinformatics approach using molecular dynamics and docking to identify FDA-approved drugs that can be re-purposed to potentially inhibit the non-structural protein 9 (Nsp9) replicase and spike proteins in SARS-CoV-2. We performed virtual screening of FDA-approved compounds, including antiviral, anti-malarial, anti-parasitic, anti-fungal, anti-tuberculosis, and active phytochemicals against the Nsp9 replicase and spike proteins.

In this paper, viability of low-cost off-the-shelf Piezoelectric ceramic disc elements is explored for an insole-based gait monitoring system, `PI-Sole' (Piezo In-Sole). Piezoelectric elements can sense dynamic changes in pressure in a closed-loop environment with good sensitivity and a wide measurement range. In this paper, method to enable these elements to continuously sense plantar pressure while walking is proposed, making them a very cost-efficient alternative to the widely used Force Sensing Resistors (FSR) and pressure plates for monitoring human gait.
