In this paper, the dielectric behaviour of coconut oil within the frequency range 100 kHz to 30 MHz between temperature 30 °C-50 °C has been observed. The measured values of the dielectric constant and dielectric loss show notable variation with frequency and temperature for pure coconut oil. It is noticed that the dielectric constant (՛) and dielectric loss (՛՛) of coconut oil decreases with increasing temperature.

Herein, we report a label-free cancer biosensor designed for carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) detection using a nanohybrid comprising CeO nanoparticles, carbon nanoparticles (CNPs), and chitosan (Ch). CeO nanoparticles were prepared using a simple green synthesis process. A thin film of the CeO-CNPs-Ch nanohybrid was formed on indium tin oxide (ITO)-coated glass plates that endowed a high surface area, excellent stability, and good adsorption for the efficient loading of CEA antibodies.

Loquat, commonly known as , is a major subtropical fruit from the family that is native to China but also found in most of Europe and Asia, including India. Apple stem grooving virus (ASGV) infecting loquat was detected using leaf samples collected from Himachal Pradesh (India) through DAC-ELISA followed by RT-PCR assays targeting coat protein (CP), movement protein (MP) and replicase (Rep) regions of ASGV genome. Sequencing of RT-PCR amplicons and sequence analyses revealed that CP, MP and Rep sequences of ASGV loquat Indian isolate of the current study shared a maximum of 98-100% nucleotide sequence identities with the corresponding sequences of available ASGV Indian isolates [LN559078, HE978837, MZ127820, MN912568].

Drug re-purposing might be a fast and efficient way of drug development against the novel coronavirus disease 2019 caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). We applied a bioinformatics approach using molecular dynamics and docking to identify FDA-approved drugs that can be re-purposed to potentially inhibit the non-structural protein 9 (Nsp9) replicase and spike proteins in SARS-CoV-2. We performed virtual screening of FDA-approved compounds, including antiviral, anti-malarial, anti-parasitic, anti-fungal, anti-tuberculosis, and active phytochemicals against the Nsp9 replicase and spike proteins.

In this paper, viability of low-cost off-the-shelf Piezoelectric ceramic disc elements is explored for an insole-based gait monitoring system, `PI-Sole' (Piezo In-Sole). Piezoelectric elements can sense dynamic changes in pressure in a closed-loop environment with good sensitivity and a wide measurement range. In this paper, method to enable these elements to continuously sense plantar pressure while walking is proposed, making them a very cost-efficient alternative to the widely used Force Sensing Resistors (FSR) and pressure plates for monitoring human gait.

Dielectric properties of clove oil were determined using an impedance gain phase analyzer (HP 4194 A) at discrete frequencies between 10 kHz and 3 MHz and a range of temperature between 25 °C and 45 °C. A micro processor controller based temperature controller (Julabo F-25) was used for keeping the temperature of clove oil constant. Dielectric constant of the sample is found to decrease with increase in frequency and temperature, while dielectric loss decreases with increase in frequency but increases with increase in temperature.
