This study aimed to investigate how Tanshinone IIA (Tan IIA) affects gastric cancer cell (MGC803) proliferation under anaerobic conditions, which are linked to drug resistance and tumor growth. The proliferation of MGC803 cells under both aerobic and anaerobic conditions in response to Tan IIA was assessed using the Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) assay. To elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying these effects, proteomics analysis was performed following treatment with 50 µmol/L Tan IIA, focusing on alterations in Gene Ontology (GO) terms and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways.

The influences of reinforcement by tufting on the interlaminar shear performance of laminated preforms and composites are studied in the present paper. A modified T steel shearing test was established and used to achieve a pure Mode II loading (sliding). Dry tufted preform (DTP) and cured tufted composites (CTC) with varied tufting spacing are considered for the understanding of the role of infused resin and the tufting density on the mechanical properties.

Chicken proximal interphalangeal joint as an animal model for human finger joint prosthesis evaluation.

A group of chickens was employed as animal model for evaluation of osteointegration, stability and to a lesser extent, functional recovery potential of a newly designed human finger joint prosthesis under long term implantation. Mechanical and Histological test was conducted. Results in our study suggest that while chicken interphalangeal joint could be a potential model for evaluating surgical operation and osteointegration of human finger joint prosthesis, the effectiveness of evaluation in certain areas are far from ideal especially in functional and mechanical evaluation of the prosthesis.

In this article, we present an effective method that not only is able to selectively recognize drug resistant AmpC β-lactamases enzyme but, more importantly, is able to interact with bacterial cell wall components, resulting in a desired localization effect on the bacterial surface.
