Measurement of circulating viral antigens post-SARS-CoV-2 infection in a multicohort study.

Objectives: To determine the proportion of individuals with detectable antigen in plasma or serum after SARS-CoV-2 infection and the association of antigen detection with postacute sequelae of COVID-19 (PASC) symptoms.

Methods: Plasma and serum samples were collected from adults participating in four independent studies at different time points, ranging from several days up to 14 months post-SARS-CoV-2 infection. The primary outcome measure was to quantify SARS-CoV-2 antigens, including the S1 subunit of spike, full-length spike, and nucleocapsid, in participant samples.

This study focuses on determining the prevalence and perceived efficacy of curcumin supplementation in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and psoriatic arthritis (PsA) population. We conducted a cross-sectional study on patients with RA and PsA who visited a rheumatology outpatient clinic from October 2019 to March 2020.

Cocaine-Induced Toxic Leukoencephalopathy: A Case Report.

We present a case here where a 57-year-old South Asian male with disturbed mental status developed multifocal leukoencephalopathy, which we believe was caused by cocaine usage. Cocaine was detected in the urine toxicological sample. Borderline tuberculoid leprosy misdiagnosed as Cheilitis Granulomatosa Miescher: A case report.

Systematic Approach to Address Early Pandemic's Diagnostic Unmet Needs.

During the first few months of the global Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic, the medical research community had to expeditiously develop, select, and deploy novel diagnostic methods and tools to address the numerous testing challenges presented by the novel virus. Integrating a systematic approach to diagnostic selection with a rapid validation protocol in a clinical setting can shorten the timeline to bring new technologies to practice. In response to the urgent need to provide tools for identifying SARS-CoV-2-positive individuals, we developed a framework for assessing technologies against a set of prioritized performance metrics to guide device selection.

Assessing volatile organic compound level in selected workplaces of Kathmandu Valley.

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are one of the major contributors to poor indoor air quality. Due to advancements in sensor technologies, continuous if not regular monitoring total VOC (TVOC) and or some specific VOC in potential high risk workplaces is possible even in resource limited settings. In this study, we implemented a portable VOC sensor to measure concentration of TVOC and formaldehyde (HCHO) in six types of potential high risk workplaces (n = 56 sites) of Katmandu Valley.
