A pedigree from Hazaribagh District of Bihar (india) with 12 stammerers spread over five generations was analysed for the mode of inheritance of stuttering. A predisposition seems to be a prerequisite for its occurrence. The relative roles of heredity an environment in the expression of stammering were evaluated.

In order to search for a probable association between ABO bloodgroups and cholelithiasis, a study was undertaken on 321 patients and 688 controls. It appears that group A subjects are having somewhat higher risk to be affected with the disease than those of groups B or O.

A total of 589 compatible mating couples could be investigated against 432 incompatible mating couples in order to determine the selective mechanism operating on ABO blood groups. There appears to be no striking difference in the proportion of childless couples between the two groups. The mean number of living children presents a significant difference.

ABO blood groups have been examined in a sample of 400 chicken-pox patients and their 383 unaffected siblings from Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India. Subjects of blood group A (and possibly AB) would appear to have a somewhat higher risk than persons with group B and O to develop chicken pox.
