Symphysiotomy: Is it obsolete?

Aim: To compare the maternal and neonatal outcomes of symphysiotomy (SYM) and cesarean section (CS), when they were performed in women presenting with obstructed labor.

Material And Methods: This was a prospective comparative cohort study. Symphysiotomy was performed in 25 women who presented with obstructed labor.
