Secondary resurfacing of the patella after primary total knee arthroplasty does the anterior knee pain resolve?

Although it has been shown that the risk of anterior knee pain is greater in patients with nonresurfaced patellae, it is not exactly clear whether the pain would resolve with secondary resurfacing of the patella. Thirty-nine patients (41 knees) underwent secondary patellar resurfacing between January 2001 and January 2007. The mean age was 66 years.
