Methods: We conducted an international, open-label randomized controlled trial, randomly assigning patients with diabetic ulcers penetrating to bone, joint, or tendon 1:1 to intact fish skin graft or standard wound care, with assigned treatment applied through 14 weeks.

Background: Cell and/or tissue-based wound care products have slowly advanced in the treatment of non-healing ulcers, however, few studies have evaluated the effectiveness of these devices in the management of severe diabetic foot ulcers.
Method: This study (KereFish) is part of a multi-national, multi-centre, randomised, controlled clinical investigation (Odin) with patients suffering from deep diabetic wounds, allowing peripheral artery disease as evaluated by an ankle brachial index equal or higher than 0.6.

Methods: We retrospectively collected data from patients with T2DM, treated by U-100 CSII, who were switched to U-500 regular insulin where haemoglobin A1c (Hb) was >8% and/or insulin total daily dose (TDD) was >100 UI/d. Data collection from patient medical records included Hb, lipid levels, liver biomarkers, weight, TDD, declared hypoglycaemic episodes and measured by continuous glucose monitoring (CGM).
A post hoc analysis of the Diabeloop WP7 multicentre, randomized controlled trial was performed to investigate the efficacy of the Diabeloop Generation-1 (DBLG1) closed-loop system in controlling the hypoglycaemia induced by physical activity (PA) in real-life conditions. Glycaemic outcomes were compared between days with and without PA in 56 patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D) using DBLG1 for 12 weeks. After the patient announces a PA, DBLG1 reduces insulin delivery and, if necessary, calculates the amount of preventive carbohydrates (CHO).

Patients And Methods: This is a retrospective study of all diabetic patients hospitalized in the endocrinology department between June and September 2016 inclusive. The photos were taken by a nurse if the patient had an indication for screening as determined by the attending physician.
Background: Self-management of diabetes minimizes the risk of macrovascular and microvascular complications, but understanding and/or adherence to self-management recommendations is often suboptimal. DIABEO is a smartphone app (downloaded via the internet) used to calculate bolus insulin doses. A previous study (TELEDIAB 1) showed that the use of DIABEO was associated with a significant improvement in glycemic control in patients with poorly controlled type 1 diabetes mellitus, particularly when combined with teleconsultations with physicians.
