[Occlusion of the macular branch of the central retinal artery].

We report a 54 years old female on oral anticoagulant treatment with a mitral valve disease, with a history of two transient ischemic attacks and a decreased visual acuity. She was assessed by an ophthalmologist and signs of retinal vascular disease were found. During follow up, the patient experienced an acute unilateral loss of vision in the left eye.
