Aim: To assess the effect of modeling liquid on the microhardness of single-shade universal composites.

Materials And Methods: A total of 60 disk-shaped samples were prepared in six groups [Omnichroma (OM), Essentia Universal (EU), Vittra APS Unique (VA), OM + Signum, EU + Signum, and VA + Signum] for surface microhardness measurements. Samples were stored in a coffee solution for 7 days and after that bleached with an Office bleaching agent (Total Blanc Office).

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the fracture strength of teeth restored using fiber-reinforced direct restorative materials after endodontic treatment with a conservative mesio-occlusal access cavity design.

Materials And Methods: A total of 100 extracted intact mandibular first molars were selected and distributed into a positive control group where teeth left intact and the following four test groups comprised of teeth with conservative mesio-occlusal access cavities that had undergone root canal treatment (n = 20/group): access cavity without restoration (negative control), bulk-fill resin composite with horizontal glass fiber post reinforcement, fiber-reinforced composite with bulk-fill resin and bulk-fill resin composite. Following thermocycling (10,000 cycles), fracture resistance was measured using a universal testing machine.

Purpose: To evaluate the effects of desensitizing MI Varnish (GC America) applied before or after bleaching on the mineral component of enamel and surface topography.

Materials And Methods: The coronal portions of 10 freshly extracted bovine teeth were segmented for a total of 40 specimens. Enamel specimens obtained from each tooth were randomly divided into four groups (n = 10): Group A = no bleaching; Group B = bleaching with 40% hydrogen peroxide (HP); Group C = MI Varnish applied before bleaching; and Group D = MI Varnish applied after bleaching.

The aim of this study is to compare surface roughness and microhardness changes of three monochromatic (Omnichroma, Vittra Unique, and Charisma Diamond One) and three universal shade (Neo Spectra ST, Gænial A'CHORD, and Nova Compo C) resin composites after exposure to simulated gastric acid. A total of 144 disc-shaped specimens (24 discs of each composite resin) were prepared using plexiglass molds ( = 5 mm × = 2 mm) for evaluation from each material. Specimens of each material were divided into two main groups for the evaluation of the microhardness and surface roughness and also two subgroups for 7- and 14-day exposures to simulated gastric acid.

This study evaluated the effect of different surface-treatment protocols on the repair bond strength of a bulk-fill resin composite. One-hundred and forty specimens (Filtek Bulk-fill) were created (5 mm diameter, 4 mm depth) and allocated to one of 14 groups according to surface treatment (no treatment, tribochemical silica coating, sandblasting with aluminum oxide), adhesive application (no adhesive, total-etch, self-etch), and type of repair resin (bulk-fill, universal resin) (n = 10 per group). Twenty specimens were selected for measuring the cohesive strengths of non-aged resin composites and used as reference.
