Erectile dysfunction (ED) and cardiovascular diseases (CVD) share common pathophysiological mechanisms. This study aimed to assess the relationship between ED and its severity with the risk of developing CVD by analyzing changes in the circadian blood pressure (BP) rhythm. In the study, 24-h BP levels of 192 (94 with ED and 98 controls) participants with no history of CVD were evaluated using an ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM) device.

Objectives: High prevalence of cardiovascular diseases is present in benign prostatic hyperplasia patients. Risk prediction models were developed for early identification of these cardiovascular risks. We aimed to evaluate cardiovascular metabolic and autonomic predictors in relation to lower urinary tract symptoms' severity evaluated by the IPSS score.

Background: Attention is drawn to the increased incidence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patients recently. Early predicting of AF in these patients can help in decreasing its clinical consequences. The aim of our study is to determine the association between BPH symptoms and AF predictors atrial electromechanical delay (AEMD) and the P-wave dispersion (PWD).

The objective of this study was to compare the Atherogenic Index of Plasma (AIP) values as indicators of subclinical atherosclerosis among 124 patients with erectile dysfunction, which was thought to be vasculogenic and 126 control subjects who had no erectile dysfunction, and to compare cardiac performance values between both the groups using exercise stress tests (EST). Erectile function was assessed using the International Index of Erectile Function (IIEF-5) questionnaire form. AIP values were studied and compared between patients with ED (IIEF  <  22) and those without ED (IIEF  >  22) using the log TG/HDL-C formula.

The aim of this study was to evaluate the clinical results of patients with vesicoureteral reflux, which were treated with subureteral injection of small-size (80-120 m) dextranomer/hyaluronic acid copolymer (Dx/HA). Data of 75 children (105 renal units) who underwent STING procedure with small-size Dx/HA for the treatment of vesicoureteral reflux (VUR) in our clinic between 2008 and 2012 were retrospectively analyzed. Preoperative reflux grade and side, injection indication, postoperative urinary infections and urinary symptoms, voiding cystourethrogram, and renal scintigraphy results were evaluated.

Introduction: Congenital ureteropelvic junction obstruction is one the most common causes of neonatal hydronephrosis. The etiology of the ureteropelvic junction (UPJ) obstruction has not been clearly established. The presence of a hypoplastic, adynamic ureteral segment is thought to be the major cause of an UPJ obstruction.

Aim: To determine the impact of gene polymorphisms on detrusor contraction-relaxation harmony in children with lower urinary tract symptoms (LUTS).

Materials And Methods: Toilet trained children older than 5 years of age with LUTS and normal neurological examination underwent videourodynamic study. The control group was composed of age matched children with no voiding complaints.
