Support Care Cancer
September 2021
Background: Noninvasive Ventilation (NIV) is a well-established treatment for Acute Respiratory Failure (ARF) in hematological cancer. However, the NIV impact on mortality in patients with solid tumors is unclear.
Objective: To define the factors associated with NIV failure and mortality and to describe the mortality risk of patients with solid tumors requiring NIV for ARF treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU).
