Pisco is an alcoholic beverage obtained from grape juice distillation. Considered the flagship drink of Peru, it is produced following strict and specific quality standards. In this work, sensing results for volatile compounds in pisco, obtained with an electronic nose, were analyzed through the application of machine learning algorithms for the differentiation of pisco varieties.

The joints were produced by gas metal arc welding in pulsed mode. The original material exhibited precipitates of β and β" phases in a volume fraction (Vf) of 2.

It provides flexibility to choose different modalities to command the wheelchair, in addition to be suitable for people with different levels of disabilities. Users can command the wheelchair based on their eye blinks, eye movements, head movements, by sip-and-puff and through brain signals.

Materials And Methods: The study included 27 patients with BD and 40 healthy controls. T1-weighted images in the sagittal plane were acquired on a 3 Tesla (T) MR scanner.
Diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) provides image contrasts that are different from conventional magnetic resonance techniques. DWI is particularly sensitive for detecting acute ischemic stroke, but it also has many other clinical applications, including the evaluation of central nervous system (CNS) infections. This article addresses the role of DWI in the differential diagnosis of CNS infections, and discusses the most common DWI findings for each type of infection.

In this work, a visual interface for the assistance of a robotic wheelchair's navigation is presented. The visual interface is developed for the navigation in confined spaces such as narrows corridors or corridor-ends. The interface performs two navigation modus: non-autonomous and autonomous.

Method: Forty-one patients with relapsing-remising MS and 37 controls were evaluated. All MRI exams were performed using a conventional protocol, as well as diffusion tensor MR imaging.
Pineoblastomas are uncommon pineal tumors, which demonstrate rapid growing and poor prognosis. We report the case of a 43-year-old man with an enhancing pineal region mass, which showed restriction of the diffusion on diffusion-weighted (DW) MR images. The surgical biopsy defined the diagnosis of pineoblastoma and the therapy was initiated with radiation and chemotherapy.

Although experience is limited, DTI seems to provide useful local information about the structures near the tumor, and this seems to be useful in planning. In the future, DTI may provide an improved way to monitor intraoperative surgical procedures as well as their complications.

In most cases, etiology is idiopathic, but it may have serious complications, such as blindness, that are related to increased intracranial pressure. The aim of this article is to emphasize the differential diagnosis of pseudotumor cerebri, with special attention to treatable etiologies.
