Article Synopsis
  • - This study explores the need for improved return-to-activity guidelines for adolescents recovering from ACL injuries by identifying key variables that differentiate between those with and without injuries, using data from functional tasks.
  • - Sixty-four injured and seventy uninjured adolescents performed various exercises while researchers collected jumping metrics, employing decision trees to classify ACL injury status with an accuracy of 67.5%.
  • - Findings indicate that female adolescents showed better classification accuracy for ACL injury status compared to males, suggesting the need for tailored rehabilitation strategies based on sex.
