Unlabelled: Fabry disease (FD) is a rare genetic disorder that affects various organs and systems in the body. The disease is caused by a deficiency in the lysosomal enzyme α-galactosidase A (AGAL), which leads to the accumulation of globotriaosylceramide (Gb3) within lysosomes. This accumulation can cause damage to cells and organ systems, leading to a wide range of symptoms and complications.

Methods: This retrospective study enrolled 44 patients (43.2% male) with antineutrophil cytoplasmic antibodies-associated glomerulonephritis treated at the University Clinical Center of Vojvodina between 2017 and 2020.

Background: The prevention of preterm delivery (PTD) represents one of the major topics in modern obstetrics. The aim was to design a prospective study and investigate if mid-trimester serum and amniotic fluid levels of MCP-1 could predict the occurence of spontaneous PTD. Methods: The study involved 198 women who underwent genetic amniocentesis and blood sampling in the middle of their trimester.

The aim was to evaluate the fractal and textural analysis parameters of glomeruli in obese and non-obese patients with glomerular diseases and association of these parameters with clinical features. Methods The study included 125 patients mean age 46 ± 15.

Methods: The retrospective longitudinal closed cohort study involved 441 incident patients starting HD in 2014 and followed for 1-59 (median 43, IQR 40) months. Demographic, clinical data, treatment characteristics, laboratory findings and outcome were abstracted from the patients' medical records.
Background: Development of nonmelanoma skin cancers (NMSCs) has been associated with certain risk factors, but studies of the association between ABO blood group and NMSCs have been rare and inconclusive. The aim of this study was to assess the association of the previously known risk factors and blood group as a new potential risk factor in NMSCs.
Methods: The study included 401 patients, 202 men, and 199 women, which included 367 diagnosed cases of basal cell carcinoma and 148 diagnosed cases of squamous cell carcinoma.
Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common cutaneous malignancy. Giant BCCs are quite rare. They can cause extensive local invasion, disfigurement, and metastasis.

Objective: We investigated the significance of prostaglandin (PG)E2, trace elements level, pro-oxidative and antioxidative parameters changes in spontaneous miscarriages.
Patients And Methods: In the 125 first trimester pregnancies, 35 with complete spontaneous abortion (group S), 40 with missed abortion (M) and 50 healthy (H), PGE2 plasma concentrations were analysed by commercial ELISA kits, plasma trace elements colorimetrically, lipid peroxidation and the antioxidative enzyme activities in hemolysate by commercial sets. Student's t-test and ANOVA were applied.
Introduction: Immunocompromised patients, such as those with multiple myeloma on peritoneal dialysis, are particularly susceptible to the occurrence of peritonitis.
Case Report: We presented a 56-year-old female patient with a 10-year history of multiple myeloma. The patient was on peritoneal dialysis since 2010.
Introduction: Preterm delivery (PTD), defined as a delivery between 24th and 37th completed week, increases the risk of neonatal morbidity and mortality. There is a growing body of evidence that the intrauterine infection as well as cervicovaginal bacterial infections and Chlamydia infections are possible causes of preterm delivery. Host response to cervicovaginal and/or intrauterine infections is coupled with a release of various inflammatory mediators, many of which are cytokines.

Objective: The aim of this study was to establish efficacy and safety of etanercept in combination with disease modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) in the treatment of RA.
Methods: To patients with active RA, who were on therapy with DMARD, etanercept was introduced in weekly doses of 50 mg, with continuation of DMARD.

Introduction: Treating severe acute glyphosate-surfactant poisoning requires intensive therapy including dialysis. Cases of hemoperfusion and hemodialysis use in renal failure induced by herbicide ingestion have been reported in the current medical literature. We present a case report of successful patient treatment with continuous venovenous hemodiafiltration in acute glyphosate-surfactant poisoning.

Abstract Objectives: To find out if determination of IL-4, IL-13 and IL-6 in amniotic fluid (AF) and serum in mid-pregnancy can be used as predictors of preterm delivery. Material and methods: The research has comprised 88 pregnant women at 16-24 weeks of gestation, who were subjected to early amniocentesis. Levels of interleukins were determined by ELISA tests.

The purpose of this retrospective and hospital-based study was to evaluate the epidemiology of nonmelanoma and melanoma skin cancer at University Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Zagreb University Hospital Center and School of Medicine during the 2003-2006 period. The study yielded population based results on 2911 cases of skin tumors in 2402 patients out of 16938 biopsies performed at Laboratory of Dermatologic Histopathology, University Department of Dermatology and Venereology, Zagreb University Hospital Center nd School of Medicine during the study period. All newly diagnosed invasive and in situ skin cancers were recorded by use of the histopathology record forms.

Löfgren's syndrome is an acute form of sarcoidosis that mostly presents with erythema nodosum, periarticular ankle inflammation, arthritis, conjunctivitis, and unilateral or bilateral hilar or right paratracheal lymphadenopathy. Erythema nodosum is the most common cutaneous lesion in acute sarcoidosis, but it is histologically nonspecific, as it does not reveal sarcoidal granulomas upon microscopic examination. We present a case of a 57-year-old woman with acute onset of tender erythematous nodules on the calves, which were clinically erythema nodosum-like lesions.

A 67-year-old male patient with a five-year history of generalized erythematous plaques on the trunk and extremities, previously treated with topical corticosteroids, is described. The lesions mainly showed a psoriasiform, some eczematous appearance, few of them showing a clinical picture of folliculitis.
