TRAUMA REENACTMENT AND WAR-ASSOCIATED FACTORS IN WAR-AFFECTED POPULATION IN BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA: CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY ON THE IMPACT OF WAR IN UKRAINE ON MENTAL HEALTH.

This study aimed to assess the impact of the war in Ukraine on the mental health of individuals who had previously experienced the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A total of 649 respondents aged 35 and above, who were either directly recruited or indirectly affected as civilians during the war in Bosnia and Herzegovina, participated in this cross-sectional survey. The World Health Organization's Impact Event Scale (IES) and Self-Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ) were used to measure the impact of war events in Bosnia and Herzegovina and Ukraine on the respondents and to assess their mental health, respectively.

Traumatic Ulceration of the Vestibular Mucous Membrane After Insertion of Four Mini-Implants in the Atrophied Mandible: A Case Report.

This clinical report describes how a decubital ulcer arose from the direct contact of the vestibular movable mucous membrane against mini-implant balled-type heads after the mini-implant insertion in the edentulous atrophic mandible of a 78-year-old patient who was not wearing a conventional mandibular complete denture for more than 10 years. Due to severe alveolar ridge atrophy, mini-implant insertion (2.0 mm wide) was an option without extensive surgical procedures.

Clinical trials involving rare gynaecological cancers.

Clinical trials that investigate therapies for rare gynaecological cancers (RGC) are essential to provide evidence-based data towards new effective and safe treatments, however, they present unique challenges. The main objective of this narrative review is to summarize completed phase III clinical trials investigating therapies for RGC and to discuss the outcomes of these trials. PRISMA guidelines were used to report the steps of the review.

Cryptococcal meningoencephalitis (CM) is an opportunistic fungal infection and a major cause of death among people living with human immunodeficiency virus in sub-Saharan Africa. 5-flucytosine (5-FC) is a unique, brain-permeable antifungal agent used to reduce mortality from CM and to prevent disease in individuals carrying cryptococcal antigen. 5-FC has a short plasma half-life, requiring 6-hourly oral dosing with an immediate-release (IR) formulation, a significant challenge in hospital and outpatient settings, risking a lack of compliance.

While immunopathology has been widely studied in patients with severe COVID-19, immune responses in non-hospitalized patients have remained largely elusive. We systematically analyze 484 peripheral cellular or soluble immune features in a longitudinal cohort of 63 mild and 15 hospitalized patients versus 14 asymptomatic and 26 household controls. We observe a transient increase of IP10/CXCL10 and interferon-β levels, coordinated responses of dominant SARS-CoV-2-specific CD4 and fewer CD8 T cells, and various antigen-presenting and antibody-secreting cells in mild patients within 3 days of PCR diagnosis.
