Time perception is a fundamental aspect of human life, and is influenced and regulated by cognitive and sensory processes. For instance, spatial attention is found to modulate temporal judgments when resources are allocated to a specific stimulus location in vision and audition. However, it is unclear to what extent the attentional effects observed in vision and audition can be generalized to the tactile modality.

Some clinical signs such as cachexia, alopecia, exfoliative dermatitis, hair loss, and swollen lymph nodes were observed in a one-year-old crossbred male dog living in a rural area of Kirikkale province, Türkiye, was presented to the veterinary clinic by its owner. Anaemia, leucopenia, hyperglobulinemia, and bilirubinemia were detected. Seropositivity was detected using Leishmania IgG/IgM Rapid Test.

The genus is composed of Gram-negative, fastidious, facultative intracellular bacteria that can cause bacteremia in mammals and various disorders in humans. Rodents have been reported as reservoirs of more than 30 species, seven of which cause zoonotic infections. In the present study, the isolation of sp.

The use of a microbial consortium provides more advantages in application point of view than pure cultures due to cross-feeding, adaptations, functional redundancies, and positive interactions among the organisms. In this study, we screened about 107 isolates for their ability to degrade dyes in aerobic conditions and without additional carbon source.

While attempting to control this mite, beekeepers often depend on a small selection of authorized synthetic acaricides, such as flumethrin, which is widely used in Türkiye and globally. However, resistance to flumethrin develops due to incorrect and excessive use.

While the standard redox potentials of those systems are known, the in vivo "steady state" redox potential imposed onto protein thiol disulfide pairs in the periplasm remains unknown.

Temporal information plays a crucial role in human everyday life. Yet, perceived time is subject to distortions. Emotion, for instance, is a powerful time modulator in that emotional events are perceived longer than neutral events of the same length.

Serum samples were collected from 300 hunters from different locations during the 2017-2018 hunting season (November 2017 - February 2018). The samples were analyzed by indirect immunofluorescence assay (IFA) using slides coated with Rickettsia slovaca, a species belonging to the spotted fever group (SFG).

Objective: In the present study, we aimed to test a serial mediation model, considering rumination and post-traumatic stress symptoms (PTSS) as mediators that link intolerance of uncertainty and aggression, while controlling the confounding effect of crisis-induced health and socioeconomic stressors during the COVID-19 pandemic.
A three year-old girl was admitted to our university hospital with fever, muscle and abdominal pain, and painful cervical lymph nodes after a tick bite on scalp. Rickettsia slovaca DNA was detected in eschar tissue taken from the bite site. This is the first clinical case of a R.

species are reemerging infectious agents that are transmitted by arthropod vectors among animals and/or humans. At least 13 of the 35 currently recognized species are pathogenic for humans. Most of the pathogenic species, except and are zoonotic agents with animal reservoirs, including cats, dogs, coyotes, foxes, cattle, and rodents.
