Computerized simulators are important tools that support teaching in many areas. The use of these instruments is often described as significant for students and teachers. In this paper, a software piece was developed to aid decision-making in nursing, allowing the simulation of real situations, addressed in the classroom.

Workload: a comparison between the online and observational methods.

Objective: To measure nursing Workload (WL) of nurses who work in the Inpatient Unit, as recommended by the Nursing Interventions Classification (NIC), comparing observational and online methods to propose supervision strategies for academic professionals.

Distance Learning, among other advantages, encourages the development of autonomy and social construction of knowledge, both essential in continuing health education. For the development of competencies needed at work, the use of simulation can be an alternative so that knowledge, skills and attitudes are put into practice through simulated situations with a pedagogical and educational structure. Therefore, it has been proposed the creation of simulation with the aim of promoting competencies related to the leading role played by nurses of a hospital.

This work aims to describe the inception and design for a hospital simulator based on data and cases provided by teachers and other randomized data. AMPLIA is a multi-agent intelligent learning environment designed to support training of diagnostic reasoning and modelling of domains with complex and uncertain knowledge. AMPLIA focuses on the medical area. It is a system that deals with uncertainty under the Bayesian network approach, where learner-modelling tasks will consist of creating a Bayesian network for a problem the system will present.
