An adiponectin-like molecule with antidiabetic properties.

Adiponectin increases glucose transport, reduces inflammation, and controls vascular functions. Hence, we propose that treatment with a recombinant globular domain of adiponectin (rgAd110-244) has significant therapeutic potential to treat insulin resistance.
